Gatsby 'Pita', Inspired by the Wraps I Had in Mauritania 

Come join me in recreating a special sandwich I enjoyed when I was living in Northwest Africa- Mauritania! A Gatsby Sandwich is a popular bread roll originated in South Africa filled with French Fries, meat, veggies and sauces. I first tried this quick and filling ‘on-the-go’ meal in Mauritania (the capital is Nouakchott) where they use baguette or wrap. Cheese and eggs can be added to the sandwich if one wanted an ultimate on-the-go meal. This is great as bekal to bring for work or school or anywhere lah because you don’t have to worry if your French fries will turn soggy as it’s already IN the sandwich, that’s why it’s the perfect ‘on-the-go’ meal.

🔹Holland onion

🔹Chilli sauce
🔹Chicken fillet (marinate with black pepper, salt and mixed herbs)
