if Kuria did not feel the pain of the burn untill the 3rd degree, then he must be diabetic and with diabetic neuropathy., I don t believe it is as a result of walking or keeping busy, he probably did not disclose to the seller that he had diabetic neuropathy or even stricture of his leg arteries.. Iam surprised the electrical mat almost roasted his feet, it should have had temperature regulator like the electrical blanket. Electrical blanket has on/off button, sleep mode(through out the night) and high heat mode to warm the bed before going in. You don't sleep directly on the electrical blanket, lay the electrical blanket on the mattress, cover with a suitable blanket/mattress protector, proceeed to cover with a bed sheet. To avoid direct conduction of heat. Geez! A learned man like Mr Kuria couldn't do farther research on something you don't know about. Typical characteristics of some African men, thinking you know it all, with his exposure, he shouldn't have known better. Let's thank God for saving him.

Many of us are very sympathetic about what happened to you but let's be honest here. If you place an electric iron on a nylon germent when at more than a Hundrend degrees heat, it must be burned and disfigured. Most of such medical equipments are electrically driven and they have regulators and are supposed to be used under monitored sessions. In my observation, a lot of explanation on how you got an extreme slow burn on your feet without feeling it and tosing off the mat like blanket is needed here. Pole lakini and speedy healing.
