Gaunt killed at least two Chaos Space Marines, get wounded by bolter, almost gutted by chainsword, stabbed by a dagger, hit by lasers, tortured and blinded by Blood Pact soldiers. And I don't even count the time he passed behind bars.. but he survived. Yet, something still intrigue me. What does it means, this prediction he was told about : "the Warp knows you, Ibram" ? Is he destined to save the galaxy or something ? ^^
Fortis Binary, Monthax, Vervunhive, Hagia, Phantine, Aexe Cardinale, Herodor. These names made my teenage years ! =) Thank you, mr Abnett and W40k for these first two cycles. One day I hope I will have the guts to write something as good and epic as the work you did with this. =)
Last night, I had a weird dream about a sniper, caught in a vicious hide-and-seek battle, against Austrian soldiers, in a dystopic/uchronic version of Europe, in the XIXth century, but where Napoléon Bonaparte never invaded Russia, and was at war againt the X?:§v*
@@robertoleary5470 There is a name-drop in Fall of Cadia, that's all "But the roar of battle cures many ills of the mind, and the desire for survival transcends all existential doubt. Orders rang out, and the shaken Vostroyans entered the fray, joined by snipers from long- dead Tanith, Salamanders thought lost during the Klovian disaster, and a lone warrior in golden armour, his scarlet plume and eagle heraldry seldom seen so far from the cradle of Mankind."
Loved the fist four or five books but that twat trooper cuu ruined it for me. Still it was the most lore friendly and proper setting of almost any 40k series. Grimdark without being dark and depressing just for darks sake
