Finally someone who tests rifles to 100 yds! Now a days just about any rifle will give you decent accuracy at 25 yds, but the real test is when you push it beyond 50 yds. Thank you Hajimoto!!

You are right on!!! My 100 yard shots are unbelievable! It’s hard to believe!! The gauntlet 2 , after 3 pcps, is the gun for me- had mine a year and I am 5k rounds in!!! Thanks Haji

WOW, Haji !!!! This is what I call a sequel !!!! It looks great, I love the oversized gear shifter, the color, bottle, and power. The original Gauntlet was good, and mine is all Haji'd out to the max which is why it's so good, and then you take it to a whole new level !!! This will sell like hotcakes.

I'm a fairly new PCP guy, having owned/used many "piston guns" in the past. Not long ago I made the jump to a Marauder... but found it's "thump" for small game somewhat lacking. I was so intrigued by your video, that I pre-ordered the Gauntlet 2. If it lives up to the hype, it will make for a great Bang for the Buck. Looking forward to more on this gun. The PCPs keep getting improved quickly. This new stock shape allows the big tank to look right. Maybe it required too much changing to make the cocking to side lever, but that would have been super. Very good review too, Hajimoto, showing your being so impressed. Thanks for showing.

They done a very good job at upgrading the gauntlet , I can’t wait to see what it will do with the same upgrade in 25 cal. I have the original 25 gauntlet and it shoots very good.

Haji......awesome video my brother...the new gen 2 gauntlet is looking cool my brother..awesome review...im not sure but wen I put that Dame FX chronograph in front of my barrel's It always change my POI...every time...and it changes or messed with your harmonics of the gun too.. I experienced that my self on a couple of my own gun's...test it with it, and test with out it...awesome work my brother...👍👍🇺🇸

Haji, this is one of your best reviews hands down. That looks like SubMOA groups at 100 yards to me. You make me wanna go get a Guantlet 2 dispute the lack of a side leveler. I noticed you doing the thumb grab to assist the bolt action. Not sure why they didn't didn't go that extra inch to add the side leveler. Either way nice improvements, great shooting and entertaining review. Bravo

Great review Mr Hajimoto and your honest opinion about the new Gauntlet, I have the 177 caliber and shoot very accurate without any mods!!! I was thinking to get me a Diana outlaw in 22 but watching your video I change my mind and I will go for the gauntlet 22 Umarex will be making big money after all the airgunners will be going for the gauntlet 2, thanks for your review!!! Fantastic Haji and hats off to the U guys. Mine is the original and Baught one of the first. Had a bad pellet jam and sent it in for service. They didn't just fix it, they sent me a whole new rifle (this was a couple years later) and the new barrel shot so much better too WOW was I impressed at their service. And now I see this. I just lost my need for the $1500.00 rifle I've always dreamed of. (Sorry Ted). And thank you Haji!!!☺

Mr. Hajimoto, I am not a Gauntlet owner, but like the another commenter, I would be at the cash register, or my computer, pressing the send button along with my money for the side cocking lever version. This is not to say that I am not impressed with how well the gun was shooting. You didn't even have to call it by mistake a .25. To get down range and line up like that, and to be a .22 cal...yeah, blown away! Thank you,

Fine rifle, but your marksmanship is impressive, mostly so when the conditions were largely inhospitable, but that is shooting in nature and under real conditions. I am keen on the JSB Monster Redesigned pellets at 25.39 grn. for my .22 Huben, which I shoot at 965 fps for 51 FPE. Thank you again. Best to you and yours. Happy Christmas.

Dude that is a wicked stock. To be honest I don’t like the original stock due to the curvature of the midforend. I very well may buy this stock because of the upgrades you provided me. The gun shoots lights out to be sure but the weight compared to many other PCPs I have is like lugging around a tank. I don’t use it much because of the weight other than at the bench to be fair. Bad shoulders and back limit how long I can carry this current setup from the factory. This stock is a must have for a guy like me. The setup in this video is a must have for me. I’m not a fan of the bolt action but the accuracy makes up for it. I love a side lever or semiautomatic. That said the gun is a tack driver and you after market mods have made this gun a winner period! Update… just called Umarex trying to get the stock,bottle anything for the Gen 2 ….no go! You are the Gauntlet guru. Hopefully our you will have them soon for sale.

this is the first video I've seen on this Gauntlet 2 I'm impressed at just out of the box performance! Now if I understand what Hajimoto can and will do the next video should scare FX with a not only pellets but slug driving performance out of a gun that's 1/4 the price. I really do like the new look of this gun slimed down better colors, better way to lock down the scope, a much better way to bolt things to the bottom, I can see this being a real pest control tool to have, and I can't wait for the next video Please!

In my humble opinion, this rifle and the air Venturi avenger are the best 2 rifles for the price. I own the avenger and let me tell you, I was surprised by the 429 dollars rifle. I think this version of the gauntlet is very close. Thanks for the review.

Great job Haji I’ve been a gauntlet fan since the beginning I have the 25 just wanted to know if the weight taken from the rear and transferred does the gun feel a little front heavy?? A whole lot of bottle up there and not carbon just wondering how front end heavy did it make it?

These are exciting times for PCP rifles, just look back last 8 months and you have fully adjustable $300 rifles that shoot all ammo types. Used to be ok to shoot at 25 and pushing out to 50 yards was a standard , now shooting out to 100 yards is the norm. the G2 bringing big power at entry level prices. What's going to happen in the next 12 months.

mr. haji one question, in your own opinion for hunting what would be better, a light weight 25g .25 caliber or a heavy 25g .22 cal G2?

Hopefully the next video will show some adjustment capabilities. I have a Gauntlet in .25cal. I will not buy another air rifle that I am not able to make adjustments to dial it in to my satisfaction. It is just like the mfg. recommended ignition timing for an automobile engine. Some run better or worse changing the timing + or - top dead center from the mfg. specs. Air guns may be the same model but that doesn't mean they all perform the same or equal using the same factory adjustments. Mr. Haji. Keep up the good work. We regular everyday air gunners out here trust you more than you even know. Thank you for everything you do for us.

Great reveiw and shooting Haj! Trying to decide if I want to order the .22 or the .25 - Already have the G1 in .22 and love it for a blind gun and pesting out to 100 yards - Do I need to order an aluminum air stripper for the G2? Trigger adjustment, air vent, aluminum stripper is all I've changed on my G1 and she shoots like a dream. Hoping the same with the G2 - But .22 or .25? Decisions!

Great video! I just ordered my first airgun ever two weeks ago... an Umarex Gauntlet. It took me so much research and decision making effort to finally decide on purchasing it... I haven't even seen it or touched it because it actually hasn't been shipped or delivered to my home yet... and to my great surprise and also ghastly disappointment... yesterday I came to find out that there is a new and improved Umarex Gauntlet 2 about to hit the market!!! I received an email notification from the manufacturer about preordering this new iteration of their already successful and famous, 1st generation Gauntlet air rifle. I immediately went and looked at a video depicting all the new improvements and abilities of this newer version and I was just so sad that I didn't get that email sooner and that I didn't know there was a new Gauntlet about to be released before I made that purchase a couple of weeks ago! But then I though to myself... Hey!!! I have a very nice pending discount with a major air gun distributor and this distributor is selling the Gauntlet 2 literally for under $400 dollars... so I can easily preorder it at a great price, get a very nice discount in the process and I just happen to have quite a bit of spending money to top it off... so I preordered this bad boy yesterday. I won't get it til probably the end of July, but at least I have the consolation that I will have that Gauntlet V1 to keep me entertained while the V2 arrives... I can't wait to have them both and compare them.

You made the point of saying with this much power shooting pellets and the accuracy out to 100 yards, why shoot anything else, which is a good point BUT I`m going to say it WHAT ABOUT SLUGS, there's so many benefits to slugs, especially reaching out 100 plus yards and the energy retention down range, usually retaining around 25 to 30% more energy. Big thumbs UP on the 100 yard shooting in wind.

hello, nice video as always ! Just curious, but I noticed you had your FX crono on the barrel ? Doesn't that mess with your harmonics and POI ? Would removing that from your barrel actually make your groups better ? Thanks in advance !

That was a great "Tutorial" to the Gauntlet II, thank you Hajimoto. I'm just tempted to go out and buy one right now. Everything about the rifle is awesome, for the exception of one thing.. I can hear the spring creeping as your squeezing the trigger. I take it's not a two stage trigger.
