Absolutely massive John Carpenter influence in this one.

this game's quest mode and the soundtrack is the reason i bought the 4tap and four controllers. for the first time a game had music that was long enough that it flowed when it repeated so you could spend hours on it and not be sick of it like games previous.

almost 30 years after and I'm still amazed. First time I played it was at a friends house. He had a Sega CD, so I thought he was playing a Sega game, just because of how awesome and different the music was.

Amazing sounds this guy got out of the Mega Drive. The real sense of determination in the beat makes it even more powerful and atmospheric.

It seems like out of the four Elements, Air always gets the best music. It happened in Gauntlet 4, it happened in Chakan: The Forever Man, it happened in...okay, I'm out of examples now. But Air just seems to lend itself to racing, ethereal-sounding tunes, and Transparent Obstacles goes above and beyond here.

This was an awesome game. Great port of the Arcade game, and the Quest mode rocked too.

why dont we have such cool music in games today? This music made my friend that had a Snes listen twice one time without headphones then with headphones and then he said holy gawd is this cool. I allways said about this theme if you chose Wizard you love this :)

Yes, that is often the case. Especially since no hardware is made to sound better the lower the quality goes. Oh, and this is the goddamn genesis, so "high quality" is what it actually sounds like

@Christuserloeser thanks. personally I rate the music of Turrican 2 made by Chris Hülsbeck above everything else of that era. Modern day is Kelly Bailey's soundtrack to Half-Life series (search for Vortal Combat).

Everything is better in high quality. 240p is not high quality for chiptunes, it just means your ears have no bloody taste. It's also mono.
