Hello, I am playing on Gauntlet Dark Legacy (Revision 1), it fix the health bar bug and some other bug/glitch the original gamecube game had. It is like a 1.1 update, but they call it ''revision'' back then. They couldn't update by internet (obviously) so they had to re-release another CD/Rom. Is it possible to sell any items apart from keys and potions? I'm very fond of the N64 version of legends where any item can be sold - it's a great way to earn money for stat upgrades.
Yeah, you can sell pretty much any items except the items that Skorne drop when you defeat him. I think you can resold them half of their price, even if you already use them. For exemple you can use 3 times the fire/electric/acid breath before it is depleted, if you use it 2 times you can still sell it the same price as if you didn’t use it at all. I prefer to use the items, but you are right, it’s a great way to stats upgrades, that’s why I sell about half of my key and about the ¾ of my potions at the end of every levels, it make a lot of gold for the end game. It is pretty much the easiest Gauntlet of all of them I think, since you can sell items and buy food in this one. I have to replay the N64 version and try the Dreamcast version that is the closest to the arcade someday.
@@Pat_IV The N64 version of Legends and the Dreamcast version are so different that I cannot really call them ports of the same game. The Dreamcast version is basically an arcade port of 1/2 of Legends and 1/2 of Dark Legacy with full stage select but no inventory. The N64 version is much more of a console game with full shopping and inventory management - it really has a great interface. I would play both as they are so different. The PSX port of Legends is abysmal and should never have been attempted - avoid it like the plague. The PS2 port of Dark Legacy is good, but it doesn't have the inventory management of the XBox and GC ports, which I feel reduces the strategy involved.
