grateful i got a chance to hear this song thru his voice, this is an AMAZING cover! I luv luv luv luv him bunchezzzzz... and THIS song is a STAPLE fav! Gonna post this one ASAP!!!
I have been a huge fan of Gavin's music for many years and I would say his Stripped album is my fave. This is the first time I have heard him sing this song, which is, along with Separate Lives, is one of my favorite Phil Collins songs! He totally rockedv it! :-)
So crazy that this much talent has been so under recognized by the industry. He is a real musician who so obviously loves his art and expresses himself so genuinely and succinctly. Looking forward to more and thankful for the opportunity to appreciate your brilliance.......
@fLarooneei I saw him on Don Imus's Show a few weeks ago and he was just great. He has a unique style. As Simon would say, "The X factor" I'm an old lady and I love his sound. He outshines all the others.
@kimbomc p.s., I just watched your 'Jesus is gonna be here soon' video on your page and just want to say that you have a beautiful voice...that is the ideal set up w/a band and an acoustic sound, that would be a portion of my dream, love that...great sound...keep doing what you're doing!
The song is not on any Gavin album since it's just a live performance of a Phil Collings song. But would be cool if he recorded it, he sings it fabulously!
I agree w/ tigger7171 that Gavins voice is best when heard live and in person...and, that says alot for him because we all know that is a dying quality..most music is so mixed by the time it hits air and the singer is not worth hearing past the cd source..I think the best 'recorded version' you can hear of Gavin is 'Chariot-the 'stripped version'...beautiful stuff..love him!! :)
AMAZING!!! Loving it Gavin! I love finding *new stuff =) ~New to me anyway~ ** For the record I appreciate the original, but how can you not love Gavins version? His voice is so soulful~
@staceylovesstacey yeah he doesn't seem to be doing as many concerts as before but I guess that's because he and his brother have opened their business in NY...I live in Austin and he used to come here more frequently...I've been to see him 3 times I think, but hope for more soon...hopefully you too will get to see him live one day, you would be in love:)
@Senator1 not that i really want to defend gavin, because he does have that nasal tone, however there are only a small percentage of people's voices that can fill a room without trying. gavin's power cannot be recorded and you would have to see him live to know what i mean. live, gavin's voice comes at you from all directions, his projection is almost impossible to capture.
