In effect, 98.4% of college football players are not good enough to make it to the NFL. Collegiate football players need to assess their talent and performance objectively and honestly. For example, are you among the best in Power 4 football at your position? No one owes anyone anything. The transfer portal doesn't guarantee a player a starting job. Before any player hits the portal, he better have a plan to land in a better situation than the one he is departing. NIL money is not guaranteed to anyone. If you want it, perform at a high level, and the companies with the NIL money will find you.
