Sweet Shells / Gavvalu
Ingredients:-
Maida - 250g
Water - 100ml
Ghee - 1 tb spn
Salt - Pinch
Method:-
In a large bowl add maida, salt, ghee and mix it well. Then add water and make it into a soft dough and rest it for 30 minutes
Divide the dough into 5-6 g size balls. Now make the shells using shown tool/ fork spoon.
Deep fry in medium hot oil for 6-7 minutes or till they get golden brown colour.
Remove them and keep aside.
Sugar Syrup :-
Sugar - 200 g
Water - 50ml
Cardamom powder- Pinch(optional)
In a pan add sugar, water and make it into two string sugar consistency.
Now add fried gavvalu, cardamom powder and mix it well. Once it cools sugar will recrystallised and then remove it and serve it.
