We love Bangkok! We've been there three times, and hope to go back there again sometime soon. IconSiam is such a huge mall, and it has great restaurants too.

St. Regis is a terrific location. I've stayed a couple of times next door at the Waldorf-Astoria. Buy, nothing beats staying in one of the river villas at the Capella Bangkok.

It would be interesting to know if your travels differ as a gay couple travelling rather than a straight couple. For example, if your book a hotel room with a double bed do you get any strange looks from the hotel staff? Or maybe they think you made a mistake with your booking? Thailand is about to introduce same-sex marriage. We are all waiting for the Thai King so sign it into law.

@@bengmelea8646 yeah we probably do get some looks but I think everybody that we ran into was pretty cool and understanding at least that’s what they showed
