On June 25, join Daniel Howell as he celebrates RU-vid Pride 2021 by taking a journey through his past, and asks - what would have been different if Dan was proud? It's going to be an emotional and metaphorical rollercoaster with music, surprise guests and of course a lot of inappropriately self-deprecating humour. Most importantly, it will be a celebration of acceptance and everything Pride stands for.

“Where’s MY fun? I haven’t had it yet!” Strangely this quote makes me feel a bit better about not being really ready for the whole “adult world” thing. I’ve always felt guilty about being “behind” my peers because I wasn’t driving yet or didn’t have a job yet or didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life yet etc. But for some reason the way Dan said this made me feel like it’s not my fault and there’s nothing wrong with me… I think I’m in for a ride haha *help*

It is so easy to take representation and "normal" for granted when you have never had to hide your sexuality or identity. Living in a small town in the south, going to boston in June and seeing the pride flags everywhere both surprised me and delighted me because i’ve never seen a public pride flag other than on the internet. It made me realize how different the bible belt is from the rest of the world that accepts all the different types of people. I’ve also never actually seen a proud gay couple on the street which can really bring you down thinking you’re the only one in your entire world.
