I don't have kids, and won't! My other half and I decided almost 20 years ago, that we'll just get a cat or two, and be very devoted, beloved uncles and godfathers. Which has worked out great! But we also have family members that do dumb, self-destructive things. But part of maturity is learning that loving people, doesn't mean loving all their choices!

I'm sorry Amanda! I can't imagine the pain I'd feel if my family turned on me, back when I decided to stop lying. I was blessed to have very little issues with my family. Same for my husband of nearly 20 years. I moved far from home, at 19, and slowly found, amd formed a wonderful second family, over time! Hopefully, you'll be able to do the same!
