I just realized that detail where they introduced Arki as a very tidy person, but when you look at his closet it's the entire opposite of his personality. I think it speaks on so many levels how he never acknowledged what was in his closet in his entire journey living alone, not until he met Vlad.

I love Bl's like this. That's not just focused on sex or kissing, but the people. I love when Karl opened the closet and started dancing. I love the fact that he is free. I love the fact he doesn't want to be just like his big bro Karl. But Karl. I love that Vlad's sister gave him a chance. The acting, the kiss, the dancing this drama is a top 10 for me

It's not only about this episode. It's about whole series. I was late to start watching it. I watched first three episodes together and then rewatched them everyday until fourth episode came. And I rewatch every episode since then for whole week until next episode comes. I am in love with this series. It is so beautiful series. This series deserve international acclaim.
This is just an observation : Notice that at the end of each episode, it shows a scene where they are watching tv. It differs every time . In the first episode, Vlad was just standing awkwardly behind the sofa but at the end of this episode, they are very comfortable with each other . Over the episodes, their relationship improves, slowly and steadily.❤️
Yeah it shows where their relationship is at the moment on that episode. Even the remote control dissapeared on this one. Wondering if this means that Karl doesn't want to control his life anymore. On the other episodes the remote is guarded and slowly shared with Vlad.. but it is gone. :D
Did you guys notice how Vlad is such a gentleman and respects Karl's space. He never stepped into Karl's room at the top before unless he was invited at the end. And even then Vlad went and sat at the end of the bed. Waiting for some sign from Karl if it's ok to sleep beside him. And karl extended his hand as an invitation. It's a new dimension to their flatmates relationship, and Vlad is being careful and understanding of Karl's newly found self discovery. My man is all about consent. Love him for that. Love this whole freaking show.
I noticed that when they're dancing together and kissing, the music goes like "I found my way home" and Vlad is holding his keys like 😭It's just so moving that they both find a place that they can call home where they're happy and can embrace themselves as they truly are, and dancing like nothing can stop them. This serie is just perfect.
Remember in EP5 when Vlad said: "Boca Del Cielo literally means Heaven's Mouth. They went on a road trip to a place they felt didn't even exist. To a beach they thought they just imagined but ended up finding. Do you get it now?" That's basically them two, finding home (beach) in one another the least they expect. ☺️ You see, this is really beautifully crafted. ❤️
I love how gentle and sweet the kiss was, how they didn’t jump to have sex. How humanizing their love story is, sometimes in BL world I feel like they just portrait BL as a sexual desire, but in this BL it’s special it talks about stereotypes, homophobia. Thank you for this masterpiece 💚
the kissing scene was very natural and extremely well made by all concerned. particularly like the fact the actors did stand close together. in many other Asian BL kissing scenes their hips are carefully set apart. not here though

It's now: #1 Like In The Movies #2 I Told Sunset About You #3 Until We Meet Again Thank you 2gether, Tharntype and all the other series for introducing me to these masterpieces. Literally y'all where like the door, the door was pretty, yes. But what's inside are these fuckn mind-blowing gems. Truly love to see more of this quality.
Some observations: 1. Nobody should blame Karl for some faux pas or blunder in his reaction to Judit. It was a normal reaction. Karl was not out yet. So when Judit said she wants to get in touch with his parents for a Christmas gift, he panicked and freaked out.. 2. Karl's dancing in unrestrained zeal pir·ou·etting like a ballet dancer, symbolizes he wants to break free from the shadow of his dead brother. It was Karl's reawakening, some kind of a rebirth. 3. This episode explains why Vlad loathed being stroke on the hair or why he's never celebrate his birthday or why he avoid Christmas. Some childhood trauma being carried over to his latter stages of his life. 4. This episode also explains why Karl was such a lost soul. He studied architecture not because he wants it. His father wants a rebirth of his dead brother in him. He was given his brother's clothes. His toys, his dreams and aspirations. Even his name is his brother's. 5. Karl initiating the kiss, is his way of saying "I am in control now." 6. It was deja vu time again. Karl and Vlad dancing was reminiscent from Grey's Anatomy season 10 episode. 7. This episode also show how music become integral component of storytelling. When Vlad and Karl Kiss the song played ..."You're all I need, the very air I breathe, You are home...." The song came from nowhere, it just make all their feelings more palpable. 8. About the kiss, was it the longest one or can it matched the heat and the passion of My Day The Series? 9. The story revolves also on Karl being a "ghost writer" and not getting acknowledgement for his work. We also found out later he was a "ghost child" (Karl was born after a demise of their older brother). The parents unconsciously incorporated the remains of the older brother to Karl not acknow- ledging that Karl need to have an identity of his own. 10. Which lead us to Karl saying to Vlad: "I want to write films. I want to write movies I can call my own. And create its own ending." This symbolize Karl wanting his life back, wanting to write his own story and identity. Not dictated by somebody from some far away lands.

At first, Karl’s dance moves were cringy, but that’s the point. He was embracing his femininity, he was coming out. We are a rainbow flag, we’re not just one color, so we can be feminine, extremely masculine, or be somewhere in between. The dance was a representation of that. Coming out is a process, and that involves being cringy and awkward with ourselves, then it leads into realization and acceptance of who we are. Give Karl’s move a second chance :). The director and writer would have easily changed his moves to masculine ones, but they didn’t because they wanted to emphasize that we should be truly free and comfortable with all the colors in the rainbow flag.
At first, I was confused too. But when I watched it for the second time I had such a huge grin on my face. I was enjoying every bit of it. I keep coming back for the dance part.
Yes, I could feel like he was embracing his other side that he had hidden for so long to please his family. He suddenly wasn't afraid anymore of wanting to write his own story, weather when it came to his dreams and when it came to his sexuality.

I'm listening to the Gaya Sa Pelikula soundtrack on repeat while grading papers (which I hate) and "Ride Home" came on so I danced around my apartment with my cat (who was very confused) and it cheered me up so much! That scene is perfection and I want to share it with everyone who has ever struggled with expressing their true selves.
I feel you. I had the same experience a few months ago. I was at home and was so stressed out and played a few songs. When Ride Home started, I closed my eyes and started dancing. It was really fun and freeing.
Man I just realized that Vlad not wanting people to ruffle his hair because it'll get messy is really just because that's all his dad did right before he left, and Karl doing it so much in this episode is like Vlad letting him in more. About the people commenting about Karl’s feminine dance and calling it cringey and out of character, those people just basically revealed that they have internalised homophobia and an anti-femme gay mindset which is problematic for yall as a person. Karl’s dancing is his own way of feeling liberated and free and he has the right to dance in any way he wants because there should be no gender construct when it comes to the art of dancing🏳️🌈. I really really like the fact that Vlad would always ask Karl, "what's in your mind". He's been doing that even in previous episodes. That is so much respect not to assume, even if deep inside, he's been yearning for Karl to open it up to him.
I also just want to point out: Neighbor Anna, in the previous episode, was talking about a ghost story and how the dead will show up to anyone whom the story was told to. In this episode: When Karl opened the closet, the picture of his dead brother fell on the floor, akin to seeing the dead. I think it was the driving point that pushed Karl to stop living in the shadow of his sibling and what his parents want to become of him. He then decided to tell them that he wants to shift to a degree he is passionate about-- Film-- at the same time, he also started pursuing Vlad-- which I find poetic because Vlad is a Film student. If no one else finds this poetic in any way, I don't know who will. In the end, Karl said that he wanted to create something that he can call his own(because apparently, since childhood, he only followed what his parents wanted and liked) to which Vlad replied that him too and that the latter wants to be in charge of the ending this time-- that is to say, their relationship will be different from his last.

I really liked how this series broke out of the BL stereotype of not tackling on the issues of being gay. This one is tackling most of the things people in the LGBTQ are experiencing daily. Brings not only kilig but a sense of realism.
I think it's because this is not made by and for straight people like the high profile run-of-the-mill BL series. It's just a gay series, made by and for lgbtq+ people first and foremost, not to fulfill straight girl's fantasies. I'm not saying that 'gay' and BL are two completely different things, it's more like a spectrum. With many BL series, at least Thai ones, I would feel weird calling them LGBTQ series or gay series. I also wouldn't call this a BL series because I don't want to associate it with those series.

Because the writing and acting was just so good, and the transition of the story was so seamless that it felt like they took us on a lovely journey.

This is the classical room mates Boys Love romance storyline... where those walls are the only witness of their love; and the scenes we have outside those walls are just an extension of what is going on inside that place. It is amazing what you can make inside a fit setting; and this follows the long tradition from gay theater representation where almost everything takes place in a single room: Boys in the band; The Lisbon Traviata; Kiss of the Spider Woman (Halik ng Tarantula); Baclofen and many many others. One easter egg I saw is that all his grades that are A ‘s are all related to writing/literature and architectural subjects are just B’s . That kiss almost killed me, and then sharing their painful memories after, and then cuddling in bed. I can empathize with Vlad... being told at six that you are evil for being gay is not what a child needs to hear. I love this series... how come Filipino BLs are so realistic... the acting is amazing in every one I have watched.
I guess this is what we get if the writer is someone who really understands the situation. He may have been in that same situation or whatnot but this story really shows how the writer has a deep understanding for these people. I guess this what sets it apart from Stories of similar genre. Not just about the love of two people but really focusing on the characters. This is the best.

This bl series is really very beautiful written and made. When the first thing they both did after the kiss was to tell about themselves is such a rare thing to see and the sleeping secne was such a comfort and sweet. I am really speechless at how this series is a real art of work. Every bl fan should see this series.
My favorite part was when Karl opened the closet. The symbolism of him getting out of closet and be who he really is. Then later on dancing in a feminine way. This is just so powerful. Also, When Anna said in the previous EP that whoever opens the closet they will find the missing dead body and tadah there was the old photo. All this time we thought that was Karl turns out it was Karl's dead sibling. You can't miss single detail because it is all connected there is no filler scenes they all have meanings.
Yup it was literally the photo of Karl's deceased brother. Literally the "cadaver" Ana is talking about. Everything makes sense now. They really reveal the foreshadowing on the previous episode.
1. Now we know why Vlad hates his birthday. Not because it falls on Christmas Day but it’s the same day (on his 7th birthday) that their dad left them. 😭 2. Anna’s horror story became true. Both Karl and Vlad saw the pic of Karl’s dead brother in the closet. 3. Karl’s dad represents those toxic fathers who pressure their children. It’s what caused his big brother’s death (pressure him to learn to swim) and now he’s doing the same to Karl. 4. I feel sad for Karl. We thought he’s just confused about his sexuality but we learned that he’s been living an identity of somebody else. He feels just being a replacement of someone and unworthy especially when he mentioned that he’s not being credited for his writing as a ghost writer. 5. (Adding thanks to the comment below) Vlad not letting anyone touch his hair reminds him of his dad (he touched his hair before he left). But that has changed and letting Karl touch his hair has a different meaning now.

3rd BL I’ve seen. I finally have a BL series to start my husband with. I presented it the way I see it. A romcom, no cringy moments. we watched ep1-5 last night. He enjoyed it as well. Can’t wait to watch 6 with him tonight. We are straight parents of 2 boys and loved how this is being written and portrayed. The way I raised my hands from happiness when they kissed. I cried. I felt their love.
i love how karl continues to pat or rub vlad's head to sort of install this feeling of love that karl has for him instead of the feeling for failure that vlad felt when his dad left.
So many commendable scenes in this episode but two stuck with me the most: first is the conversation between Vlad and ate Judit. Kasi it shows you na it’s possible to emancipate oneself from previous homophobia. I love how ate Judit mentioned that she was acting from an uninformed place before, and that she’s still learning. Kasi nangyayari talaga siya; we may have acted from a place of hate and naivety before, pero that doesn’t negate our desire to change for the better now. To continue being better allies. Second scene that did it for me this episode-Vlad talking about how, at six, he didn’t have a name for his attraction towards another boy. I just remembered my own journey in that. I remember telling a friend na nauna akong nagkagusto sa babae (Grade 1) bago ko nalaman that there was a stigma around it. The label doesn’t make any of our feelings any less true. Anyway okay napahaba. But god, hats off to everyone talaga. Thank you, Juan Miguel Severo for writing our stories with your hard, honest truths. You’re a gem. And my god, Ian and Paolo sobrang swabe ng acting.
I used to be homophobic and transphobic when I was still doubting/questioning myself. I was a bully and I am not proud of it. Now that I fully embrace myself, I learned how to accept and understand every individual (free from any judgement).

Watching repeatedly. This is not Just the best Filipino BL..but This is the Best BL ever made in the history. I can assure it because my BL watch history is countless since 2018 yet I feel this hits most realistically. I told sunset about you will follow this series's lead . I'm impressed in all way.
It doesn't have to be like other BLs who have wild kisses, long cringey/extravagant moments, and interaction of mcs irl just to prove their chemistry. This is just pure art. You'll appreciate even the tiniest details. A perfection. Everything.
You know, the first 2 episodes I was like "what's the big fuss about this show?" I was enjoying it but wasn't getting why so many people were raving so much about it. But then episode after episode I got it. Plus for once a BL that truly respects the LGBT+ community . And the subtle things, the soundtrack, their chemistry and how they shared such intimate sides of their past was so beautiful. Fantastic!
The thing about this series is, even if the people behind it put a bed scene or two, people will still be discussing about the story, the metaphors, the plot, the realizations, the character development, the actor's capabilities, the songs, etc. That's how good the series is, it defies all the conventional concepts of a typical, high budgeted BL. It's very timely that we get to watch this. It brings us back to our humanity.
Because that's what children are to many parents. A fall back plan, an old age option, someone forced to be there because no one else is . . . They invest with the hopes to see something in the future, not knowing how burdening that is to the child who didn't ask to be born in this world and might already be struggling.
Can we talked about how f* up that karl’s parents basically raised him as a sub for his deceased brother’s life. Thats heartbreaking being a sub to anyone. Dang!
I guess at that time they just wanted to hide away from their guilty, like things never happened... Maybe they have already realized now but it's hard to open a conversation about that and they just go with the flow thinking Karl is okay. Funny people always think kids didn't know anything though in fact they remembered all of their inner hurt, as a kid.
At last someone has taken a new direction. No Uni Campus, no engineering, & no poor quality writing. Well constructed storyline with good casting & an enjoyable to watch couple.
