I disagree politely that she is "selling" herself in interpreted sexualisation but I will agree that the camera friendly performance is overly considerate of a camera presence and thus has the effect of attention seeking rather than music demonstration. She is seemingly promoting a business of appeal in stark contrast to drummers like Steve gadd but she is still a pro drummer with musical qualities. I'll ignore the business practices and focus on her attributes that I respect and care for. Still though I agree with you , I think your main point , the distracting element of this performance is the pandering to an internet audience over the principles of musicianship one would think one would emphasise ala Jeff parcaro in his very short but exemplary dvd

Actually, reading my reaction again I think I'm being harsh also. Towards the end she delivers a delightfully exciting 32nd note drum fill that is both inspired and appropriate. She towards the end shows she has given her self to the song and allowed for free expression culminating in that rather impressive fill. I have to note that spirited part of this performance and it's easily audible as honest. I would say, finally again about your sex sells comment. She isn't selling her being female and of female form. She is demonstrating her drumming sensibilities for this song. I think she is a slight cognisant of the camera and so performing for it slight but the sexualisation as you see it is your hang up. For example, I'm not watching this for her sexiness. I'm an earnest drumming fan, whether male or female I'm considering the performance for what I hear it to be. We are right to our opinions but I would encourage you revisit your view on her " jumping" for male excitation as you possibly having hang ups about female RU-vid drummers. I've seen quite a few and some particular RU-vidrs do try to look attractive in their videos but I'm not seeing this here in this particular video
