Back in the early 80's, when Eddie Murphy did that skit, people were much less burdened by political correctness, and we all had a better sense of humor and a thicker skin. Today, it seems that everyone is just chomping at the bit, waiting for any excuse to come along so that they can jump up and down and display mock outrage. No one is a "better person" for thinking and behaving that way. We have instead stifled ourselves and our own freedom of expression.
