Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militant group, has escalated tensions in the region by targeting an Israeli surveillance center in the Golan Heights with a drone strike. The recent escalation has challenged informal agreements that have mostly kept the conflict limited to border areas or nearby since October. This has helped keep cities in Lebanon and Israel safe from direct attacks.
