Great video awesome baler. A lot of people don't like net wrap. Red and Blue in the same field. Both are nice looking tractors. I have two Reds and a Green.

Is it just me.... Or does that Monster Move 12 / bailer trailer job seem to be a very slow / awkward way of shifting bales? Seems like alot of machine / weight to carry few bales? Maybe faster / more effective once you have been running it a while etc, but to me, just about anyone would have a trailer loaded and gone in half the time it takes to load that! And probably create less compaction in the process! As for the Fusion, what an animal, as always with the green machines from McHale!

i agree, seems like a really poor idea. 12 bales at a time, rather slowly and no way of carrying more if you wanted to. quite a high centre of gravity to by the time it folds up

They did say in the video on the bale mover that the man operating the machine was new to the tractor so that might have something with the speed.

Nice video. Mind you, I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would still want net wrap. Every way it’s a curse. I was speaking to a contractor this year who runs 3 Fusions. He says one is effectively redundant as none of his customers want net again once they’ve had film wrap.

Whats the advantage of the plastic? I’m from Australia and no one has a fusion baler locally. I have never heard of plastic for bale wrap out side of on the internet

@@benjaminbauer4883 In a warm climate like Australia i'm guessing bales aren't wrapped & are saved as hay. In wetter climates like here in Ireland, where there's so much rain, then it's normal to wrap the bale in plastic, to ferment & preserve the forage. The outer plastic wrap requires to be recycled & the normal net (that initially wraps the bale), is a different waste stream, so the two must be separated. With the newer film wrap its all one which is much less hassle. In addition, with film around the bale it requires less layers of outer wrap. If you watch a separate baler & wrapper operating, you'll get a better idea.

Thanks, @@hughmarcus1 so its just for waste reduction then? In Australia, we do make silage mainly so that crops can be cut for the best quilty early in the season before we have warm enough weather for hay. Thanks for telling me about the plastic wrap!

@@benjaminbauer4883 It's way more convenient too though. The concept of baled (& wrapped silage) took off about 30yrs. It provided a solution on smaller Irish farms that didn't have big silage pits (or the finances to build them). Interestingly baled silage is now a part of larger farms too as it provides a lot of flexibility, some grazing paddocks grow too quickly & the farmer can take a quick cut of silage using bales & get the paddock back into a grazing rotation. My baling contractor is a dairy farmer with a diverse & scattered area of rented land. He initially bought a baler to give him that flexibility & recruited some of his neighbours to offset the cost of the blazer & wrapper. He's been so popular that he's now added a second baler to his fleet. Big difference from Australia, I suspect.
