This song mane. I grew up in south park houston texas and mived around alot of different homes in the system. Finally got caught up after a shootout with some black guys on the wrong block. Went in came out and did right. Had my firstborn and did even more right by him. Second one was on the way and was buying a little townhome in the east side where all my family was and was affordable for a family of four. Last year of parole and one day pulled up to save my babymomma who was 8 months pregnant with my second who was being followed by some guys. Idk what was happening. I grabbed our gun and went for it. They ran. The cops were down the street. I got violated picking up another charge. My p.o. tells me i shouldve moved somewhere else and not that area. She was cold af. Sitting in a cell i prayed to be out to see my baby born. The lord answered. I was out on a 15k bond and paid 10 percent. Shit i was already doing okay then life happens. If given the chance id do the same thing to protect mine. Yeah i changed for the boys but that dont mean im any wekaer when it comes to them. Im a certified electrician now working on my masters electrician to bid for jobs and open my own llc. I went back for my bachelors in business and working to do better. I just want yall to know that even when doing right it can still go wrong. Just keep faith and keep pushing. These songs come in clutch when times get rough. Even when youre doing okay and better these songs make you feel alive. God bless.
