This video is a recent quick match I had with the LV2 Gaza-D on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 450-500 cost general with powerful hit and run transform potential, high shooting damage and high HP. Its major drawback is its somewhat underwhelming MS mode mobility along with it being vulnerable in close quarters combat due to its lack of an immediate stun. The Gaza-D has always been effectively an upgrade to the hit and run playstyle of the 400 cost Gaza-C, but these recent buffs have improved the time it can stay transformed for, its stun accumulation resistance and its durability which makes it quite strong in my opinion. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary weapon of the LV2 Gaza-D in both mdoes is a beam rifle with 1450 (3300) power, 60% (90%) heat, 1 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds overheat, 400m (450m) range, 3 seconds focus time and 50% (60%) stagger value. Uncharged shots have low power but can shoot twice in a row to stagger enemies without extra stun resistance, at the cost of overheating. Charged shots are very high damaging and instant stagger to combo into further shooting for both MS and transformed modes.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2310 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap and standard modifiers. Balancers and two swings makes this much more usable than on the Gaza-C and its decent power ensures swings have some bite to them. Lack of instant staggers makes this situational to use however.
Its first MS mode sub weapon is a double missile pod with 275x2 power, 8 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 300m range and 5%x2 stagger value. Although these have low stagger value, they have high power and short reload time.
Its second sub weapon for both modes is an 8 tube missile launcher with 120x2 power, 16 ammo, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 17%x2 stagger value. These have low damage output but stagger with just 6 missiles, raids MA LV2 in 8. They are your primary close range self defence tool to try to not use them for damage.
Its third sub weapon is a double missile pod usable while transformed with 230 power, 8 ammo, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 1% stagger value. This is basically a worse version of the MS mode version but has separate ammo.
Its fourth sub weapon is a beam gun usable while transformed with 350x2 power, 30% heat, 15 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 275m range and 5%x2 stagger value. This cannot stun on its own but has high damage output for use after one of your transformed stuns.
Its fifth sub weapon is a claw beam gun usable while transformed with 1000x2 power, 95% heat, 3 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap, 450m range and 45%x2 stagger value. This instant staggers, has relatively high damage and also has high stagger value. This can be combo'd into from your charged beam rifle for two stuns in a row while transformed.
The LV2 Gaza-D has 19500 HP, 20 in beam/ballistic resist with 14 in melee resist. Its actual defensive stats are average with a bias for shooting resistance, though its HP is absolutely massive for 500 cost and even its 450 cost version has a huge 18000 as well. 15% buffers for your shoulder shields and back buffer lets you take even more damage as well. Your only defensive skill for either mode is LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Damage Control, though you of course gain Shock Dampeners while transformed like all non-supports. This stun resistance makes it tricky to knock you down when transformed.
It also has 130 (185) hover speed, 200 (220) boosting speed, 80 thrust and 63 (60) turning speed. The MS mode has useful skills such as LV2 Flight Control and the 500 cost version has its Forced Injector upgraded from LV1 to LV2, though it still has somewhat mediocre mobility overall. Its transformed mode has great mobility and its turning speed makes it easy to aim your weapons for your powerful hit and run assaults.
Overall I think that the Gaza-D is a good transforming shooter for 450 and 500 cost. I always thought that it was decent but these recent buffs have made it a more truly viable option for maps with plenty of cover and elevation for hit and run attacks. At 500 cost though you have the overall much superior Methuss and even the 450 cost is in competition with the more well rounded/melee capable Ga-Zowmn. Even over any of these suits though, it has outstanding burst damage while transformed just like the Gaza-C which makes it a strong option if you can master its playstyle. Starting with a charged beam rifle, into leg claw beams and then rapid fire beam guns does 8100 damage for 500 cost Gaza-D which can be absolutely devastating if landed. If you like suits like Gaza-C or Gundam Delta Kai then I can sincerely recommend you try out the post buff Gaza-D which is available in the DP store. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
