This video is a rated match I had with the recently released Narrative Gundam B-Pack on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 650 cost general with great stun options, powerful melee and access to a capture field weapon capable of slowing down enemies. It has some pretty big weaknesses though such as only 8 ballistic defence and being restricted to mostly close range fighting. I thought that this match went decently well but I had to play on the PS4 version of the game due to some technical hiccups which made it pretty laggy. I still hope that its a good enough showcase of the suits strengths though. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary ranged weapon of the Narrative Gundam is a Jegan D Type bazooka with 2300 power, 5 ammo, 6.5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload, 1.75 seconds swap, 300m range and 80% stagger value. This is has pretty average performance but its cooldown and damage aren't the best for 650 cost. Its high stun value makes it ideal to combo into your vulcans to break MA.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap and 160% downswing modifier. This weapon does very high damage on downswings thanks to the modifier while also having fast swap time. It shares the same moveset as Gerbera Tetra which includes long range thrusting downswings.
Its first sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 110 power, 60 ammo, 510 RPM, 6 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap, 250m range, 935 DPS and 5% stagger value. This has very good performance for a vulcan with 2.3 seconds to stagger, relatively long 250m range and 935 DPS. It is effectively like Nu Gundam vulcans but with longer range and short reload time.
Its second sub weapon is an incendiary shield missile launcher with 500x2 power, 150x10 burn damage, 8 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 250m range and 10%x2 stagger value. The base power of this weapon is low but it inflicts 1500 total fire damage which brings the damage up to higher than normal levels. It also instantly staggers while having short cooldown.
Its third sub weapon is an INCOM attack with 500x2x3 power, 50%x3 heat, 13 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 200m range and 25%x2x3 stagger value. Although this has short range, it has very high stagger value while also being capable of firing while boosting. These can easily stun on their own while also being great to combo with your vulcans to quickly stop raids.
Its fourth sub weapon is an INCOM capture field with 0 power, 100% heat, 18 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 350m range and 0% stagger value. These are locked on like standard INCOMs but deploy a lingering field which severely slows down enemies caught within it and causes them to use 70 thrust instantly. Exact numbers are not yet available on how much it slows enemies down by but it roughly halves their mobility including walking, boosting and turning speed. It also slows down their melee swing animations. These can also be locked on while boosting but their slow deployment time makes them difficult to use on moving targets.
The Narrative Gundam has 19500 HP, 8 ballistic defence along with 30 in both beam and melee defence. This is a blessing and a curse. Your beam and melee defence are both great but your low ballistic defence can easily be exploited by ballistic powerhouses like Char's Dijeh. You also have a 15% reduction back buffer and 30% reduction shield buffer to further enhance your defences. In terms of defensive skills you have access to both LV2 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Maneuver Armor despite being a normal sized general.
You also have 135 walk speed, 215 boost speed, 75 thrust and 72 turn speed. This on its own is just about average for the cost but you also have mobility skills such as LV2 Forced Injector and LV3 Flight Control which makes your overall mobility a little above average.
Overall I think that the Narrative Gundam B-Pack has good potential but a lot of it relies on how often you can land the capture field attack. Its stun output and melee damage are definitely great but in that regard the Rebawoo outclasses it without question. If you can land the capture field on enemies though then that should basically guarantee that they are heavily damaged either by yourself or allies, as long as they are in the open. So in that sense it seems like more of a team player and set-up suit rather than one which can make a massive difference on its own. It is definitely a really fun suit though and I will keep playing it so that I can learn it better. I think I can recommend you roll on its step up if you are a fan of melee focused suits that can help the team a lot but just be aware that another 4 star is likely coming in the next 1-2 weeks. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
