@Helmut Ree Darbouze man me to im working on mine this week on vacation..i got to fix vac line under the hood for the heater control valve...got new blower heater core and evaporator....compressor and condenser...i got my work cut out this week.
Great video How do you remove the broken lever thats connected to the heater box... mine is broken just like the one on the video and I can get it of... any help would be great Thank you.
Great video sir...mine won't change between vent, heater, and defrost. Mine blows to the bottom and some on top at all times. Where should I start? I appreciate your time on advance.
Please reply if you figure this out. Same here. It seems like the issue is related to the selector part that rotates between each vacuum line. Something is broken. His seems to have a detent or click between each position selection. Mine doesn’t, meaning something is worn or not connected there.
Last month I removed all smog crap from my 80elco..and the black ball.. Before i follow Davids awesome ac vid (all new parts coming)..i need black ball and its vac likes put back (1 is port vac). In cab have 2 (together)black and orange that go somewhere) help.
Great info Steve thanks I just have a question on how the vacuum hoses are routed for the heater core valve and vacuum reservoir ( I think that's how its called)
Please help I'm having the same issue. I see 2 vacuum lines. The previous owner removed the vacuum canister. I just need info on where and what vacuum lines to lead to. Do you get the vacuum from the intake or carb.
Whats the place where you said you can get the pigtail for the high speed for the blower...CASPERS ? WHAT'S THE WEB PAGE OR THE CORRECT NAME...I GOT ALL SPEEDS BUT NOT HIGH .I REPLACE BLOWER , RELAY, & RESISTOR. ..
Hey where does the relay harness plug connect to i have the plug off the relay but i can’t locate the plug it goes to i i would hate to pull off my fender liner to find the plug it connects too
Steve, I have a basket case im trying to figure out on a 86 cutlass. Can you tell me where the 4 wires in the plug you were talking about goes? Im assuming power, ground and the other 2 go to the compressor.
My 84 Regal is leaking engine coolant right under the hvac box. Usually where the AC condensation drips after use behind the passenger side wheel well. Where could that leak be coming from
Where does the vacuum come into those lines from the engine? My air only comes out from the floor and defrost which indicates i have a vacuum leak somewhere. The vacuum hose that comes out of my bowl goes to nothing so im assuming thats the issue i just dont know where it hooks up to. Thanks in advance
Do u happen to have a diagram i just got a 1980 regal some idiot was thinking to do a vacuum delete now i have not ac.. I belive he might of also butcher the radio harness sinse i dont have that many wires behind the radio
steve, where does the HVAC get its 12v power from? Starter post? I got one that im going to add HVAC back into and not sure where to grab the 12v from.
@@stevevsautomotive1998 I dont see any brown wire under my dash for that to plug into. Does it come out of the same harness as the radio? Im wondering if it got cut off? .... The large red wire under the hood that the relay gets power from. Does that red wire just hook to the starter stud or a junction somewhere?
@@Firedowg999 if it's not there break out the schematic and trace it out. There is a fuse on the fusebox. It's switched 12v, do not run it from starter. The Hi speed relay gets its power that fuseable link at the starter but it's controled by the the control head.
Steve here is one for you. I got my back all on and all new components. But now when I turn it to the off position it just stays running on low . If I unplug the resistor it shuts off then only works on high. I put the old resistor in it and it does the same. Any idea?
Hi Sue. Yes that's correct, unfortunately I am spread too thin running my business by myself. Wish I had time, unfortunately I don't. My customers know how to get a hold of me directly. That's where my focus lies. Have a blessed day.
@@stevevsautomotive1998 No disrespect intended . Just struck me that there was so many good questions regarding your informative video. Its videos like this that help the novice hobbyist repair there cars themself.
