In this video, we look at microscopes. First we explain the advantages of an electron microscope over a light microscope and then we learn how to carry out calculations based on magnification.

I’m not even doing my GCSE’s until 3 or 4 years. My science teacher thinks my class is so high levelled that we can write about this then add diagrams and such to a card in two days. Man I have to get to work by this video is great and simple!

Thank you so much for this I have a new method of revision and someone recommended you to me and I'm really enjoying how you can summaries something that we would usually learn in an hour to only 4 minutes. an easier way to remember this equation is I am image size = actual size times by magnification or magnification = image size divided by actual size.

Great video! I recently came across a practise question that wanted us to compare the light and electron microscope, but the disadvantages for the electron microscope are not in my textbook or in the spec - is this something we have to learn or is it the exam question pushing us?

All your videos are great but I have a question. You said we don't need to know the magnification equation because the equation is given however in our mock exam there were 2 questions that needed the equation and it wasn't given anywhere. Plz help :)
