GCSE Media - Component 1 Exam Paper - What to Expect 

I got a 9 in Eduqas media (2019) so here are my top tips: 1) Study your factsheets and utilise the exam board resources 2) Make sure you have watched your music videos and tv episode thoroughly. Analyse the music videos/tv shows and ensure you use the spec to make your analysis. 3) Make sure you know your theories e.g. hypodermic needle theory, reception theory etc. 4) Practice analysing magazines unseen etc 5) Make your own exam questions, there was only the sample paper here, but I also used zig zag and made my own question templates for each set texts etc 6) Use the A level media exam board mark scheme e.g. one of the papers had information on Pharrel Williams and you can make notes to secure grade 9
