In this video, we look at what is meant by scalar and vector quantities. We then look at distance as an example of a scalar quantity and displacement as an example of a vector quantity.

What topics are you doing for History? I'm doing Edexcel too but I find it difficult to condense my notes and end up writing everything.

In history I feel like you have to pretty much write everything as everything is so useful and will help during exams so it is fine to write everything as long as it is relevant in the sense that it is in your exam specification. To condense notes, I suggest really shortening the sentences and basically summarising but IN YOUR OWN WORDS which will help it stick in your brain and you will be able to remember easily. Also if you haven't used flashcards, I'd HIGHLY recommend - even if you've used it for other subjects and it hasn't worked for you, in history once you begin condensing on flashcards it will be so satisfying knowing you have shortened your notes and they are all THERE, summarised on a small card (per topic obvs). Also, on flashcards you don't have a significant amount of space which is actually a good thing as it will help you choose the right words etc, instead of hammering down the whole page. Sorry for waffling on but I hope this was helpful in any way!

This is my last time watching free science lessons. Honestly, its gonna be so, weird as I won't hear your epic intro music. You've helped me out so much and you've made my gcse papers so much easier. I like the fact you get straight to the point and don't waffle and how you sum down a topic into 2-4 minutes. Thank you so much for getting me through my science gcse. scalar quantities: mass, temperature, speed, distance, time, energy. (only magnitude and NO direction) Vector quantities: displacement, weight, force, velocity, acceleration, momentum. ( BOTH magnitude and direction)

These are for AQA but they also apply to other specs (check the spec for yours). The playlists tell you the paper (for AQA).
