All Top 10 match-up games aired should require commentators as they analyze and give credit to all players, their schools, and explosive play-by-play happenings that occur during a challenged game. Especially when TV is the medium of choice when spectators like myself can appreciate this growing sport. Thank you for your service.
What a match from both teams! GCU has an insane system and pace of play meanwhile UCI's hitters can get a kill off of seemingly any ball. UCI has the talent to be a powerhouse these next few years, they just need some time to develop chemistry. GCU's setter understands how to bring out the best in his hitters, especially in the middle. Looking forward to seeing how these teams fare throughout the season as well as in a playoff setting. Fire video as always Jonny 🔥
15:29 Set point at 24-23 in the third was insane! Definitely the biggest in the match. That libero's save from the stands was the best I've seen in a while.
Both offences are so good to watch, such capable middles and outsides really aid in elevating the quality of the match. (Of course the Setters were REALLY good)
That's match of the year for me, but #20 chill with the two handed tips holy cow. Dude will only swing at a perfect set. Also #8 on GCU gotta have the biggest bounce in D1 on those middles, GEESH! Thanks for upload as always! What a FANTASTIC match.
He has the second highest kills this season in D1 men's volleyball and is 4th in hitting percentage. He also had 29 kills throughout the game. He's probably the last player anyone should be critiquing as far as this game goes.
True it isn't something fun to watch as a vball fan, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Henno's one of the top player's in the nation and absolutlye carrying this UCI team
How is UC #23 able to serve again at [1:25] shortly after he started serving the match ? Isn't that a rotation error or did he sub out and then sub back in to serve ?
He cuts some points out, usually when a missed serve probably happened. he was in left front, then right front so I am assuming UCI's RS errored on his serve and then the other team's server errored as well. Because number 5 would have served before UCI's #2 served.
as far as i know, Sherbrooke (QC, CAN) is now the only d1 university in all of north america with a perfect run. They've won all of their games and all of their RSEQ (QC-Maritimes conference) championship games, now they're off to nationals
Man, what a great fucking match. Is Nolan Flexen still hurt, or is he just not part of the starting rotation anymore? I feel like UCI would be even better with him at the front
Gonna be packed today for sure sure since it’s a Friday and a big match for Hawaii today. People had work on Thursday, but heading into the weekend expect it to be packed
I went to the Outrigger tournament last year. Hawaii (host school) always plays the late match (7 PM local time start), so since the 'Bows were playing Lewis later in the evening only the die-hard v-ball fans, those who can get off work, and the GCU and UCI fans were in attendance. You can be sure the stands will be packed when UH plays GCU and UCI.
What happened at the end of 4th set? UCI were calling a double touch, but the match pseudo-ended, and then restarted at 24-24, will anyone explain pls?
are u referring to last yr francesco sani or this years like starter at the beginning of the year? Francesco plays in italy now but the one who started at beginning of the yr is benched for now.
#2 is a solid outside, makes little to no errors, great passing, and always puts the ball in a good spot. There's a reason #9 was subbed out and he got the starting role.
I mean, he literally got points and blocks in some high stakes moments. Being the OH2 isn't all about putting the ball away, thats kind of the OH1's job. Defense is arguably more valuable to a team than offense, especially at higher levels like this. Just because he didn't bounce the ball 10 foot doesnt mean he didn't contribute. @@patryyyk6653
He doesn't need to be a threat. He's got massive value as a server, passer, and defender. Pretty clear he brings much more to the team than Flexen when you already have Henno (#20) and Darcy (#5) on your wings.
@@patryyyk6653 I mean his role is to stay as that guy who can hold the team. His service and defense have been a big difference in UCI. Great choice in the coaches by keeping him in.
GCU players are good but numbers 1, 2 and 16 are dickheads ! Every time they score they look at the opponent and intimidate for no reason. It's so satisfying like number 20 are playing so easily their hands !
