Thanks for the tutorial. For those who are upset about how low the water level is, you must remember the technology has changed. And with HE machines.low water levels improves washes. You don't want a machine FULL of water and your clothes 'floating' around. You want all your clothes 'packed' together and let the HE Pods do their thing. For this machine you can hold the deep fill button to add more water during the wash if your uncomfortable but the machine might still drain the excess water because remember it's a smart machine and is calibrated to give you the best possible wash. Hope this helps.
@@kathyguster9325 beware of the ‘normal’ cycle. It does not allow you to add additional deep fill water to the wash cycle. Uses very little water! Some clothes may never even get wet. You can add the additional 3 gallon deep fill to every other cycle except for normal cycle. I will never use it again.
@@loismedecke3611 My machine is a few months old, and the normal cycle does not allow me to add a deep fill to the wash cycle. I have no clue why… but it says so in the manual So I just refuse to use a normal cycle. Every other cycle allows you to add the additional 3 gallons deep.
We purchased this set. The only way it fills the water to the top is the Bulky setting. Also, if you select deep rinse, it will rinse and agitate as opposed to filling up with water then draining immediately after if you leave it on rinse or extra rinse. Hope this helps
@aubreycalahan4432 Thanks for sharing your experience! It's super helpful to know that the Bulky setting fills the water higher, and using Deep Rinse works better for agitating during the rinse cycle. This should definitely help others with similar issues!
@VanessaEspinoza-ur2hu Glad that @aubreycalahan4432’s comment helped you out! The Bulky setting seems to be a popular choice for getting a deeper fill.
@aubreycalahan4432 (second comment) Thanks again for being so helpful in the comments! It’s great when viewers like you share useful tips with others. 😊
Can you fill the drum full of water and then pause the cycle so that you can soak the clothes for a few hours? I am trying to figure out a washer that i can soak my clothes for an extended period of time
Video was good. Only problem that I have with my washer… which is the same one that’s on the video, is that it throws off the balance with my clothes to one side and shakes real bad. Do yall have the same issue? I don’t have anything against the washer… it’s not too bad but that’s my only issue.
@Blanco_5.0 Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like the washer might be off balance. Try leveling the washer's feet or redistributing the clothes more evenly in the drum. If it continues to shake badly, you may want to contact customer service to inspect for any mechanical issues.
Thanks. That was very helpful. I've just bought on yesterday. And waiting for it to be delivered on Sunday. So, I guess I'll have to put my Downy Unstoppables in the CUSTOM ADD 2:11. Normally I'll put it drum with the TIDE PODS.
Can you make a video that has the sound of the machine during the wash / rinse / spin cycle? I just bought the exact model today and noticed it’s considerably louder than the samsung I used to have.
We bought this stupid washing machine. So here we go ! Absolutely the worse washing machine we have ever owned. Clothes are wrinkled like never before! Multiple clothes ruined ! Washing colored clothes PINK is somehow getting on some of the clothes. Lowes will not take it back !!!! We are calling GE this next week and please DO NOT but this kind of washing machine !!!
jason, what washer did you finally get? Also, can you please subscribe to my channel? After years of making videos I am so close to making it to my FIRST 100K SUBSCRIBERS!!
@sapinnav1609 To clean the machine, you can run a cleaning cycle with a washing machine cleaner or just hot water and vinegar. Be sure to clean out the lint filter and wipe down the drum and door seal regularly. If you missed it, I'll make sure to add more cleaning tips in future videos!
I should do a video on this washer, because this video explained nothing. Read your manual, like I had to, to find out why the deep fill didn’t work on the normal cycle. You won’t understand why they didn’t give you that option, but you’ll learn that it won’t work, so do not use it if you want your clothes to get wet while they get washed! I’ve been very frustrated with this new washer that I bought, but I’m managing with it without many issues thankfully so far. But I had to babysit it and stare through that glass, read the minimal info in the manual and learn how this thing functions. I used the normal wash once for a normal load of clothes and I will never use it again. Pretty ridiculous when you don’t want to use a regular normal cycle for a normal load of clothes, but whatever. Quick wash cycle with a deep fill option for me is the best option outside of bulky items like bedding, comforters, coats.
@@DIYPintosarcastic and rude! If u can not take criticism close your inadequate channel! I agree with her, your video was poorly done, shaky, to many repetitions 🙄 on top that doesn’t show the actual washing cycles! 🙄 So yes, there u have it! Your welcome!
I see a lot of people using COLD water to wash...that's OK, as long as you do periodic HOT washes...whether in a TL washer or a FL... it helps keep gunk from building up... If you use cold constantly for everything... that sht will build up

I have the same washing machine, after a year of use it has a leak inside, when I open the flexdispense tray it is full of water, do you know what the reason is or what I can do?
@hernanpalacio6478 Sorry to hear about the leak! Water collecting in the FlexDispense tray might indicate a blockage or drainage issue. It’s worth checking the tray for any clogs or residue build-up. If the problem continues, it might be a good idea to contact GE support for a closer look.
@stefanydubon4862 Looks like you're facing the same issue as @hernanpalacio6478. Definitely check the tray for any blockages or buildup, and if it persists, contacting customer service may help resolve the leak.
Can someone tell me how to get more water in it? Tried to put deep fill, but it doesn't work (just like in the video). Every time I wash, there's barely enough water, and the clothes won't move around. My clothes stay in the same spot. I am so dissatisfied with this machine.
7:37 You cannot choose deep fill option on that normal cycle. So I will never use it, because it uses way too little water for washing. Stupid cycle!!!
@barbaraprice3527 On most GE Profile models, the Normal cycle doesn’t always deep fill unless you specifically select the Deep Fill option. Be sure to check your settings before starting the cycle!
So I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I like to pause the machine when I have a quilt to wash. And get my hands in there and push on the blanket and make sure it really gets clean good. But for some reason, when I do this, the water empties out of my machine when I unpause it. And it's not even done washing yet. After all the water is completely emptied, it starts washing the blanket. There is no water in it. It's completely frustrating. And it's still on wash cycle. How do I keep the water from emptying out and have the machine complete its cycle? This machine does not even clean very well. That's why I opened the lid up and push the quilt up and down to get it clean better. But I don't understand that once I shut the lid the water empties out. And then once all the waters out its washes with nothing in there and rips up my quilt. Please help
🤔 I’m pretty sure I’ve paused mine before to do the same and I don’t recall it doing that but I’m also a fairly new owner trying to learn how to best use all the features myself. Honestly it’s been difficult to find much online so if i were you I would contact a GE customer support line & have your model & serial # ready. It could be an easy fix but it could also possibly be a defect in which case surely they’d send techs to fix it for ya! Hope you’re able to figure it out quickly! In the meantime if I were you I think I’d just select the power clean option til you figure it out.
When you think you are starting the machine again hitting the pause button, you may be actually turning it off? But then why it continue washing? Hmm. I know when I lift my lid for any reason, when I close the lid it starts back up on its own. But before it does it shoots out two Spitz of water, not all of it though. It will do that every time the lid is lifted and closed again. It does not drain all the water out though, and I do not have to hit the pause button. I don’t hit the pause button before I lift the lid either
Also, for quilts you should use the bulky cycle. That cycle uses more water, and I believe you can add additional deep fill water to the wash cycle. This machine is a little ridiculous, but I only had mine a few months so I’m making the best of it.
@alyssai337 To unlock your washer, try pressing and holding the lock button for a few seconds. If that doesn't work, refer to your user manual for specific instructions.
@davidpace7914 To reset the washer, try unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in. If it's still locking and unlocking without starting, it might be a software or control board issue. You may need to contact GE customer service for further troubleshooting.
Is it normal for the barrel to move excessively when spinning to drain? It wabbles and it makes way too noise and hits the inside wall making a banging noise.
@kristinemejia2942 If the barrel is moving excessively and making loud noises, it could mean the washer is unbalanced or overloaded. Try redistributing the clothes evenly. If that doesn't help, the washer might not be level or could need servicing.
Omgoodness thank you! I’ve been looking through every comment on every video about this washer I could find on why my deep fill button wasn’t working if I just bought it.
When you turn on your washer select setting you want to wash on the hold deep fill button for three seconds before starting the cycle you can get more water to run in washer.
@@AyemamaaThat Deep fill button does not work with a normal cycle. I believe it works with every other cycle. I all about put duct tape over the normal cycle so I never choose it but I don’t wanna make my pretty washer look ugly lol but I will never use the normal cycle because it does not allow you to add extra water and it does not use enough water in my opinion
@RaulGonzalez-uy8mj To unlock the door, you usually have to wait a few minutes after the cycle ends, or you can press the "Pause/Cancel" button if the washer is mid-cycle. If it’s still not unlocking, unplugging the machine can help reset it.
HI. What does "Spin/MAx" mean?? Such an swful machine!! says it will take 1 hour and 47 min to do one large load..ridiculous. And doesn't seem to do it (bangs and bangs) until over 2 hours. Don't know how to use spin cycle. what does MAX mean? does it mean a LOT of clothes will need to be spun?
I just bought a newest house built in 2019. It has one of these fancy top loading GE machines. And it’s destroying our clothes! Even on active wear setting. I guess do fragile?
@AnaPaula-tx8hn I'm not sure, but can you please subscribe to my channel? After years of making videos I am so close to making it to my FIRST 100K SUBSCRIBERS!!
I just bought one and set up everything. It barely moves and the timer is all over the place. Like I have no estimate. It makes a noise, stops cycling then does it again.
@dancewithelvana sorry to hear that. I was wondering if you can please subscribe to my channel? After years of making videos I am so close to making it to my first 100K subscribers!
You have to keep putting Camera back and forth on the name of it. Like if we are idiots. We are watching your videos to see if we like it and make a great decision
Great washer, no problems, only wrinkles if you leave clothes in washer overnight. You should lightly load clothes into dryer ASAP when washer through. Nice machine!
Just bought one and I will tell you right now, save your money. It's a POS. If washing a large load, your clothes will just stay still and barely move or even be covered with water. You can wash clothes better by hand. It doesn't agitate or move the clothes at all.
This specific model has been horrible. It gets stuck all the time, won’t drain, stops working, resets by the manual, still has issues, having to empty by hand to stop oxy damage & the warranty is going to run out unless I give them another 250 for insurance. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I'm trying to get my washer to was and want it to drin and I want it to spin I just whant it to wash my clothing .I go throughout whot the video saying I can't get it to wash gets me frushterated.😖some one help me .
I have this washer, hate it! noisy 😮I stand and watch it wash put in a full load on normal it does not fill to the cloths and it washes it very aggressively😮with barely any water in it. I don’t recommend this one.
You have to hold the deep fill for 3 seconds the manual says to work. I gave a thumbs down because I was hoping to see how to turn that feature off, and you didn't go over that.. I'm guessing it goes off atomically with each cycle (hopefully) Plus repeating at least 4 times in the beginning of the video got annoying. Just my opinion
@rickbustos1464 Sorry the tutorial didn’t cover everything! I’ll take your feedback into account and aim to cover more options like the Download, Deep Fill, and water level settings in a future video.

This washer has given my family nothing but the blues the five months we’ve had it. Water keeps leaking out of the bottom. The drum bangs around violently and the cycles no longer complete. Complete waste of money.
@hollisteinborn did you ever figure it out? Also, can you please subscribe to my channel? After years of making videos I am so close to making it to my first 100K subscribers!
You can only use he detergents on this machine also you can only use 2 tablespoons of detergent u will destroy the machine if u use more 😂 this guy sucks at videos I own this same washer dryer set!!
