Shows how to clear error codes after making a repair or replacing a part. This allows for a "clean slate" and shows only error codes that may appear in the future.
Thank you immensely!!! I thought we were going to have to buy a new washer! I just did this after watching your video & we have been having this problem about a month. It was driving me insane! I did this & it now spins & doesn't shut off in the middle of a cycle! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! God Bless!!! 🎉 I do the laundry in the family & my dad looked this up & this was the first one he came across. Words cannot express how thankful I am, seeing how laundry is my least favorite but someone has to do it. Thanks again & God Bless! ~ Tammy
Changed capacitor which was the issue last year, not the problem so looked for videos. Found several. Used tester on all parts and ran diagnostic and reset. I am trashing the same washer and bought a different one. Over it. All the comments on videos say the GE washer is trash.
My apartment has the same wash and it is utter trash. Always breaks again eventually and have to reset it again which means there is nothing wrong with the washer itself.
🎉 I don't know how to thank you!! This worked brilliantly!! I tried other reset suggestions with no luck and almost fell over in a dead faint when your suggestion worked!! Thanks!!
I truly cannot thank you enuf for this, it worked!!!!!!!!!! I was about to cry thinking my machine was broken LOLOL you saved my weekend, God bless you brother!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I learned that installing a new pump puts the machine in "flood mode". The pump runs for a while after the washer is plugged back in. I checked it after about 20 minutes. After that it's ready to use like before.
I also had a hard time finding how to clear all the fault codes. FYI, for GE top load washers with a digital display, enter Field Service Mode by pressing the Start button for 10 seconds while rotating the cycle selection knob 180 degrees (seven clicks) and then release the Start button. Then turn the same knob to Diagnostic Fault/Test #16 and press the Start button to Clear all Fault Codes.
Is it normal in the older model I just bought it to have water no inside the drum but when I spin it. It’s not draining my clothes properly and Lowe’s has the 48 hours return policy. Hasn’t even been a month since purchased :(
Hello. Did you buy it new? If so, I would call GE because it's still under warranty. If not, the two most common problems are the lid switch (easily replaced) or software upgrade (you have to buy a GE module for this).
