Another good example how our simulation modelling helped, in combination with measurements, identify the cause of damage on a teeth connection of a disk inside a coupling.
The animation only shows the disk and teeth connection, but is part of a simulation model which covers the entire drive line's torsional vibratory response (excited by the diesel engine's combustion process), causing gear hammer and causing a coupled response of the disk moving about it's diametral axes.
