this is a good QoL tip. if you plan on dismantling something you don't have to unsocket first, in order to keep the gem. it will just go to your inventory directly. not so, if you sell an item.
Great vid!! New to D4--Would appreciate a loot grinding guide that shows how to efficiently search for items, say like if you have 1 hour what would you do
What about when you have 15 ancestral helmets to choose from, ranging from power level 725 to 808, is there a power level where u say "i dont care what stats it has, it is x power level" ? GOt 200 items to sort right now and no idea how to choose what to keep or salvage...
Is there a general suggestion of which items to imprint on around lvl 50. Maybe not imprinting something important on a weapon because you replace it more often?
absolutely (Change weapon often) you can imprint whatever you want, but I would only use aspects from the codex and save high stat aspects for level 60-65 to gain significant power for your next capstone dungeon 👌
If imprinting the god tier aspects is 1 time only when do you recommend actually doing it? I’m level 53 right now in nightmare mode and getting nervous that it’s a waste to imprint anything because it will be gone for ever. Lol I’m in the mind set of not wasting literally anything until max level 😩 can you make a guide on what is a true god roll and when to know it’s okay to imprint and level up and use your materials!?!? Thanks man
I had the same fear but you most likely will get the same drops and equally good rolls over and over again. you might still get unlucky, but I got almost all necessary rolls for 2 builds at least twice.
I would unlock dungeon aspects when you hit nightmare and are able to farm nightmare dungeons and complete bounties for the tree. try getting to WT3 asap
I have a question. As a barb main, does the apsects on my off hands, does it get used? For example, I use a 2H bludgeoning weapon. Does looking for good gear and imprinting aspects on the weapons that I don't use (Dual Wield and 2H Slashing Weapon) still important?
I was wondering how to make aspect of encircling blade better. Can I make it stronger than 8%x increased damage? Am I missing something lol please help, I’m confused
right at the beginning. I explain how to display and determine which rolls are high and which are low what did you think? that I would go over every single affix in the game? 🥴🙃
yes. it doesn't matter if you had it or not. it just depends on your level and the activity you play. the higher the nightmare dungeons you're running, the higher the chance to drop high item power gear
knowing about break points is only useful in really specific situations most of the people won't stumble upon, as it is more likely you just find gear that has a higher item power anyways
@@TheGameSenseiYT my main question I can’t find answer anywhere: there is a breakpoint at item power 725. That means that with +25 upgrade at Blacksmith I can roll a 700 ipower item at its highest roll tier. So, can I find a 700 ipower sacred item? Cost of upgrading items is so high in this game - I don’t want to commit to full upgrade a midiocre sacred item. If possible I want to upgrade hightest ipower item I can get but I don’t know how item power is calculated! So instead I’m stuck with decision paralysis and not having fun with the game.
definitely focus on dexterity and (if applicable to your build) damage to vulnerable as they are multiplicative damage boosts. those will give you huge spikes in damage. everything else: as fits your build
I like that you can just pay and upgrade rather than rolling for a socket like in d3 . Also, don’t forget to repair your gear when you’re at the smithy . Forgot to say thanks for the content and this is super helpful !
Thanks for this simple guide man. I'm just a lv35 barb T2 but having dilemmas on gear lmao. been 2 decades since I last played Diablo and playing D4 gives me nostalgia.
3:03 this point is wrong at later half of 1-50 level progression. You can roll some sub stat combos, which will increase your overall dmg or tankiness even though power level is lower and dps/armor stat on item is shown as lower then your other item. For example: a new wand can have -50 dps compared to your other wand, but if you roll things like close/far dmg increased, "X" element dmg increase, skill type dmg increase etc, then the dmg you will do will be much higher even if dps number on item is shown much lower. Same with skill dmg info. Basic skill dmg increase boostt will not show up in attack power calculations, it will only get shown on actual basic skill dmg calc. So it also needs to be checked. If your argument on all of that not being important because "its not an end game item", then thatts why i mentioned later half of 1-50, because you dont level up so fast anymore and content becomes harder. If you go do like he said, then you will be just making your clears slower and boss fights harder. Items with really well rolled sub stats can be used even 10+ lvls ahead, even more, so changing item because it has just bigger dps/armor number on top is just wrong suggestion.
Something this video doesn't mention (which is kind of important) is that the tiers of loot negatively impact your chances of getting something good. You don't notice this until Sacred starts dropping though. From 1 - 50 you have the first tier of gear that can be uncommon, magic, rare and legendary. This gear will always drop around the appropriate level of your character and gambling is this way as well. Once you move beyond level 50 however, the only way to actually get gear appropriate to your level is to have Sacred gear drop. But the previous tier of loot is also dropping on top of that, and is also the majority of what you still seeing drop. What this means is that 95% of the items that drop later are useless trash other than legendaries you might extract aspects from. I'm assuming it will get even worse in T4, where you then have to contend with three loot tiers, and only Ancestral will be actual upgrades. At this point, even if you gamble icons that have a gold highlight (Sacred), most of the time you still end up with the previous tier of loot, which means you won't be getting anything good most of the time.
this is not true. the new tier most of the time has higher values than the previous tier. it just becomes naturally harder and harder to find a real upgrade the better your equipped gear becomes. therefore you will be trashing more and more items. that's just the nature of looters
@@TheGameSenseiYT I think you misunderstood what I said. I was not saying that Sacred gear had lesser stats. I was saying the opposite actually. What I was talking about was that once Sacred starts dropping, it's *the only way* to get an upgrade. I'm assuming this stops working after level 70 too, and you will then have to rely entirely on Ancestral dropping. Unlike the first 50 levels where all gear scaled with your level, it no longer does and you have to rely on getting Sacred drops, which are only maybe 20% of what actually drops. Even in T10+ Nightmare dungeons. This is absolutely not how it worked in the previous games, and this is all the fault of level scaling.
oh yes. my bad. that is absolutely correct. as soon as you enter a new world tier and therefore get new gear tier drops - sacred with WT3 and ancestral with WT4 - all other loot becomes obsolete and you just start reframing all your gear in the higher category you just unlocked. it's basically a reset. fortunately it doesn't take that long to hit WT4
coming from d3, so in the other word, enchant is like rerolling a stat with Artisan npc, codex cs is like Kanai's cube extract legendary power, but in this case only the exact stated x% amount, not the max value?
Tip: Aspects don't stack. You can't use more than one copy of the same Aspect. If you do stack the same Aspect on two or more gears, only one of them will have the Aspect applied; all of the other gears' Aspect description will be greyed out meaning they're void. I learned this the hard way when I thought my minions were stacking Chill effects twice when actually it was just once.
You should start selling most of your yellow and blue gear not too long after you have been in the end game. Enchanting gear will use a ton of gold and mats are always dropping from monsters. I sell almost all the gear I pick up and I still have more mats than I will need
So I'm just curious I couldn't find your video about the world bosses I'm level 44 I know where the bosses by The crucible area but she never shows up am I doing something wrong?
no. they are available during the campaign already. has nothing to do with it. here I explain everything: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jcM-pHoApG0.html
tried inprint aspect yesterday but couldn't find my first aspect, took a lot of googling before I understand that one could only be inserted in rings :)
Also, the aspects you get from dungeons are the LOWEST ROLL they can be. So yes, they can synergize with your build but you won't be as powerful. I also recommend not using it on a good rare
I'm level 54 , I play as a druid ( quite casually ) , when is the time to invest in gear ? I play on T3 and I got quite good drops ( sacred ) but I don't know if I should waste my inprints on them or wait for higher levels
I explain that here: Diablo 4 How To Beginner Guide | TIPS & TRICKS I Wish I Knew Sooner ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jcM-pHoApG0.html
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! I have over 200 hours of play time, across four characters, i have died ONCE, been mowing down bosses with ease, yet I have found TWO LEGENDARIES.... .... My wife joins me and in less than 24 hours on a single character while constantly dying, SHE HAS BEEN GETTING OVER A DOZEN LEGENDARY ITEMS!!!!!! WHAT THE F##*$^#%@*?!!!!! Seriously! WTF? is that bullsh1t? Does D4 give pity items to players that die alot? What is happening here?
It's a good beginner's guide... but it's absolutely not a "Ultimate loot Itemization Guide". Where is the 'Item power breakpoints' (149/339/624/724) with the incredibly meaningful breakpoint of 725+ ? You're not even mentionning the +5 IP by upgrade, which is the single most valuable info for getting through a breakpoint. Where is the craft order if you want to save resources ? Also, not talking about the difference while crafting legendary aspects with matching tier (normal / sacred / ancestral). Serious clickbait title. Edit : gj changing the title! ;) It's still a quite incomplete guide, but at least the title is not incredibly clickbaity. But, oh well, can't really expect a lot from 3k subs channels. :)
Yo bro you seem like you know a lot. Mind helping a guy out? I’m trying to learn and I could use some of the info you mentioned. Could I ask for your discord maybe?
The one thing I keep looking for, and not seeing anyone talk about, is when to start actually upgrading. Everyone says tier 3, but that's a big span of levels and power, so am I looking to immediately upgrade all my gear when I reach tier 3, or do I save it for a certain level? When do I know that the item I am planning to upgrade won't get immediately replaced by a better item drop?
What always throws me off is whether I should dump a lower level legendary for a rare item that provides better attack power or armor. I have a few legendary items now fully maxed out that are starting to compare weaker vs Rare's I'm getting. I know the perks of some legendary items make them worth keeping but if those mean nothing I assume it makes sense to just extract the legendary portion of the item and then sell/dismantle correct?
Couldn't you hit some enemies with the legendary in question, then hit enemies with the rare item and compare the numbers? And also I'm pretty sure extracting destroys the item
I have a question. When you extract and aspect with a high roll. Does that same percentage roll get imprinted when you put it on another item? I feel like I did this several times and the roll was different and worse. Maybe I’m mistaken
do you need to wear the best item power to get higher item power drops or can u drop item power 600 using a item power 400 equip? How does this system work
Is there a way to target farm an aspect? Like I have Codex of Power Umbral aspect for rings unlocked, but I want more than 1 resource per crowd controlled enemy. If I run the dungeon that unlocks the codex again, are monsters more likely to drop a legendary with Umbral aspect on it?
@@TheGameSenseiYT ah gotcha. That was the answer I was expecting. Thanks for the reply. What video is that? I checked your recents on YT and this is the only one with a relevant title to that topic, although I’m on mobile so I might just be missing it.
Do we know what the max item power on gear is and if theres a difference in max power level for rares and legenadries? Max I've dropped is like 802 so im wondering what the maximum is.
@@TheGameSenseiYT It seems like theres some higher break points for some affixes. On Gloves for example you can get +5 WW, but it looks like they need to be item power ~800 +25. Mine are 778 +25 and only get +4 WW.
one of my biggest gear questions is about number of affixes on rares vs legendaries. legendary gear drops with 4 affixes, while rare has 3. when you upgrade a rare to make it legendary, it still seems to keep 3 affixes. like at ~13:45 when you make it legendary, it still only has 3 affixes. is there a way to get the 4th affix? or is legendary gear just always better because it has 4 affixes?
@@TheGameSenseiYT as far as I'm aware, ancestral rares do come with 4 prefixes, so once you get to world tier 3 its no longer an issue, or maybe I'm just crazy.
