So nick thank you. I love you work and I know how much you had been hoping for HoP to get those swivels. I've been quite excited as well. I love how nice tight they made the build as well. Really these are what I feel all chains should be.
Finally, mine just arrived in the mail. My 3.5's have never felt more comfortable. At first I thought they looked a little weak for the 3.5's but I had to try them. The handles are shockingly soft and comfy and nothing seems to be stretching at all. These are seriously fantastic. better even then I expected...and I expected a LOT.
Also, remember, if it's too expensive the shops won't sell it. They also won't sell it if it's not welded. I"ve heard people say that byzantine chain is strong, but I"ve also heard people tell me that their thin little split rings are strong, and then two weeks later they email me to say they broke :)
I was looking to get my first set of fire poi in the near future. I'm so glad I waited, because now I can get this spiffy set up! I'm definitely not a big fan of hardware intensive poi, and I can only imagine its worse when your spinning fire. =P Thanks for the video!
awesomeeee =] i jus orderd myself a set of these and some stage balls, which will be modified so i can practice in the day and save my clothes from going all black n mucky =] who knows maby ill get super powers and be able to flow like you and have the creativity of ronan =O imagine that... powers of BOTH gods, from BOTH ends of the spectrum! i love you for making these possible!! Remember Nick, Keep The World Spinning!! =D
I love your reviews, Nick. I was thinking about the difference between ball chain and oval-link chain, is it that oval-link slides easier? My two poi sets are a practice set I made out of nylon stockings and rice and flowlights in crystal poi cases, so I have never spun with chain cords before. :)
I see a lot of hater up here and I will tell you one thing, you can tell the difference between a good set of chains and a bad set of chains. as well at the difference between a good set of chains and a great set of chains. If you have a lot of drive in poi I will tell you right now, get these. you can say they are just like any other chains but that's the talk of someone who doesn't know the greatness of fantastic swivels that work for both hyperlinks and short chains. And HoP is GREAT.
i had a necklace that was made out of that once! my friend made it it was awesome. i can't believe i lost it. the problem is the links are loose (some of them)
well, now my clunky poi are quite obsolete... the ones i just ordered apparently days before these lovely new chains were produced.... oh well time to start saving.
Well, not much better. My old chains were custom made, using parts I'd collected in 4 different countries. The only way I'd improve HoP's new chains is to make them lighter... so hopefully they can find some high-tech chain that is thinner and lighter but still strong enough to be safe. Other than that it's really an excellent set... much like my custom poi actually.
twist link is very strong :P and u can replace the parts individually, simply put a quick link rather than the welded circle. idk about the playpoi code but its 15% for BaLLoOnCuTteR666 i think playpoi should be the same tho
It seems to be really strong and amazing blah blah, but I think that the price is TERRIBLE! When I change price on polish currency it show me something scarry: 109, 25 zl. For 4 swivels, suede handle and piece of chain? That's preety sick for me. I would choose staff for that price. But in other countries 32$ isn't too much, so have good fun with ,,that" ; )
