Ian Olsen from Milwaukee, WI. Ian is a welder fabricator that has been involved with 10 plus chopper builds. He is currently working on his own project for once, a 1981 Shovelhead. This is the second installment of his build process brought to you by Geared Science. Ian walks us through his build process and ideas along with showing us a few cool things that are starting to make this project come to life. From the custom Springer front end to the clean lines of the hard tailed frame, this bike is going to be one of those classic chops.
If you missed part 1 - • Geared Science - Ian O...
Geared Science Is a short video series about motorcycle builders and contributors. Brian Radmond started shooting these videos with his friends to share their build stories with the world not just showcasing the same panhead build that you see at every bike show. His goal is to showcase the daily riding choppers, the track bikes, and everything in between. They might not be the prettiest bikes but they for sure are the ones you see out on the road. He's diving into how builders create real bikes with the intention of inspiring viewers to have the confidence to take that leap and build their own bikes. Which is an idea we believe in full heartily and support here at Lowbrow Customs!

Looks like you're starting with some good pieces. Should be a smooth build.

To save yourself some headache you should have put rubber motor mounts as the shake is going to be rediculous especially with a larger v twin. Take it from me I was always tightening everything until I put the mounts.
