You gotta think though, in the original trilogy the gears games were under a different ownership so they probably didn’t think there would be this many games
@@ytsaleout6470 finishing a decent trilogy requires killing someone important; if Dom hadn't died, there would be no reason for him to live in the post Locust-War period, that was the only decent end for him. Epic Games has always intended to create Gears 4, after all the initial concept of JD was created by Epic and finalized by The Coalition. If they wanted to stop the franchise in the third game or Judgment, the wisest thing to do was kill Marcus, if the protagonist died, people would lose interest in the next game. This new trilogy is being carried on the back by Marcus and Myrrah. AlphaEon900 Well considering their new story expands on the lore, has great gameplay and (so far in my opinion) a good quality story... I’m more than happy for them to keep “sequel baiting” :)
Just watching this gives me the old memories of 2008, gears of war 2, gears of war 1. Reminds me of the old vibes and how different it has changed now.

Ending was way too abrupt....should’ve been a few more big boss encounters too...still a solid 8/10 in my book...just finished it minutes ago on insane...pretty challenging
Who is watching this because the cut scenes were unplayable when they played the game on pc? Great job making it so your cutscenes don't skip frames gears...only game to do that on my 3080 congrats! 👍
I cannot believe how good gears 5 is compared to gow 4, it's night and day, fantastic job by the coalition. My only complaint is that they called it gears5 and not gears of war 5
Why was Kait sometimes like telling Delta what to do, she’s not the squad leader because she’s the lowest ranking member being a corporal and the least experienced soldier, that was so annoying
Hero Of Justice I’m sorry but when they return to COG headquarters she wasn’t leading shit , I understand when JD went to help her because it was personal for her but when they returned, JD and Marcus where in charge she was just cooperating I saw the walkthrough again
@@extreme584 Kait and del were the ones sent to recruit the stranded at the town kait was in charge of that mission - then kait and del leave to go to the new hope facility, kait was in charge of that mission, then kait and del go to the sand country and are JOINED by jd and fahz with jd and fahz being higher ranked but kait still being in charge of that mission then when they go back to head quarters who's in charge goes out the window because people join and leave their squad for separate objectives leaving kait as the leader of delta squad for the last act.
Hero Of Justice When they went to recruit never did they say she was in charge, to the facility, no one was in charge because that was a personal mission, in the desert it made sense because she was the one with the knowledge and in the last act she was with JD and Del who both outrank her with JD being the captain so your explanations are ridiculous, amost all my family has an army background so that’s why I know it is bullshit, she had no authority over them, they just did it to make the others feel stupid around her
It was the weakest boss fight in the game. Which means the weakest boss fight in the whole series. General Raam would have wiped the floor with the Krakan.
Towards the end, as intense and over the top everything was. Things started getting abrupt, specifically after you had to make your choice on who to save and just the general amount of buggy aspects in game, I would venture a guess towards the end Development started going into crunch time, which is just not good for games at all. Like if they made the fights while you were sitting in the back of the minotaur count a little more, like you actually needed to fend off swarm that were trying to destroy the truck, it really felt like it was just a drive by sequence of no consequence; and if they made the part where you were at the wall really seem like you had to hold the line againist a massive wave of enemies because by this point the hammer of dawn was offline and it became tactical retreat effort with that massive swarm creature, it was quick little sequence that kinda left me wanting for more of the visual display of the desperation of the fight (I was playing on Experienced, so your experience may vary, there are like 8 difficulties, maybe i shouldve played on the higher end). TL;DR Damn great gears of war game, would always recommend, just felt a little off towards the end.

Ending was rushed, it was only 4 acts, Gears 4 had 5 acts and i dont remember how many Gears 3 had but it was way more than this. We didnt get any answers and just more questions. Wasn't even really about Kait that much, more about the HoD and UIR really and we only used the skiff 2 times, in Snow and Dessert like they tried to make the campaign seem like it was this massive new thing, but it was actually lack luster :/ Gears 4 had a better campaign
@XD they tried something new and tried to make it the focus of the game when in reality it could have been cut out and no one would have cared. Act 2 and 3 did not need to be open world, since it wasnt an open world, just a big map with small things scattered around randomly, there was no back story like they said, just small side mission which i can do in Borderlands 3
I remember when the lancer would feel like heavy assault weapons and you would never stop shooting and every shot would feel so powerful. Now it feels like I'm shooting a pew pew gun.
Okay if gears 6 is going to be the last one I really hope that it acknowledges the COG's true colors and makes them secondary antagonists, because c'mon look the coalition of ordered government is clearly an autocracy, Even Marcus has said himself that he doesn't trust them
Okay, so Jack can imitate a hammer of dawn beacon and sacrifices himself. Touching... But why did I spend half of the game trying to find and defend those beacons if they aren't even needed in the end? Why not simply send in a thousand Jacks for having a fully mobile hammer of dawn beacon network everywhere you need it?
Nah, they’ll prob either kill them off at the beginning or just not include them somehow, that’s what telltale did with their choice determinant characters, but gears isn’t made by telltale so idk

C Austin But, she died in the last game. Plus, i want kait to be the new queen. Taking over. Her being the queen makes sense. A post credit scene where she turns into the swarm queen and finishing queen myrrah’s work. And her honor.
so gears 6 is coming soon and is it going to be the final one? If so, it's going to be sad because gears 2 was my first first person shooting game i've played. And i played it for a long time and now it sounds like its coming to an end. Pretty sad
