Same.. I feel so dumb when I kill someone just with one gnasher shot, reload, turn around and get my ass handed to me by another rushing enemy player 😞
@@Robert96902 I gave up the game entirely lol I was sick of Gnashers of war. After the lancer was nerfed of its active reload the game wasn’t the same. It’s unfortunate because it was my favorite game series of all time. Now it’s not even close to being as fun as it used to be.
@@TheKANTUS101 damn man, that sucks :( I still play every now and then but yeah, it isn’t as fun as it used to be... good luck on whatever else u play or do as a hobby haha
Well it started as just learning how to play like I had normally but once my thumb healed, I was able to play claw with my right hand at least and from there just kept using it with the addition of my thumb
When people start playing claw or say they can't because it is so uncomfortable, the Most make a mistake and hold their Controller still normal when they try to put their Indexfinger on a. You need to know that you also need to Change the grip/way you hold the Controller. You need to Turn/Spin your right wrist a little bit to inside(left). Maybe that helps Somebody.
I used to use standard but switched to tournament for gears 5 and now standard seems weird. I've been playing since part one. Even played judgment. All on standard. But idk man...tournaments the way to go imo
Tyler Green I personally don’t know the remapping for tournament bc I play default alt, you might wanna ask the other guy about what the binds are for tournament remapped and delay is like if you try to up A it will do it faster than normal
Great content, same thing happened with my elite controller. Over priced with cheap parts..can you update and add those controllers you were referring to? Love from Chicago
If anybody plays tournament like me, try remapping LB to LT, and LT to LB. For me it always felt like my finger was slipping from LB to LT when I bounce. I feel like I have more control over my bounce now.
Brayan Lopez Hernandez Imagine having no life. what df is the problem if not using paddles? oh yeah, yeah we get it u be like im god and using claw only
Ever since I played first gears my controller grip changed and my brother would always tell me ‘you hold your controller weird’ and I never knew they called it the claw. Lol this is pretty funny
You should make a video about “how to play claw”... I though you had a video but can’t find it bru. Tip: Tournament mode fucks up your LB button overtime.
Let me tell you: I just started three days ago. I used to play tournament and didn't have much of a history with claw. I only played thumbs and decided to try claw. The first three days we're slow but I feel more confident with it now and claw is an intuition now. You just have to be committed and your brain will get you used to it. Trust me because I'm so glad I made the change and I think you should too.
DopierSeven599 a week after trying it, my movement seems reasonable and I’ll probably say 70% of the time my wallbounce hits. However, my shots are horrible, I cannot get a get my middle finger to press the trigger. Did you have the issue? Or is it just my long fingers
@@NamekGhost I have small hands so it's not an issue for me. What controller do you use? The only solution I have for claw excluding the elite controllers is a bit pricy but I saw that the series x has two different controller sizes. One is small and the other is massive. You don't have to buy the series x, you can get the controller by its self. I recommend that you get the big controller so it feels comfortable for you to use without struggle with the triggers. You don't have to.
My problem is, that I was good untill I took a month pause and then when I started playing again I am unable to hit A N N Y T H I N G. I'm desperate. Idk why and what to doo
guys i am nee at it but i have problem. with my xbox controller while i want to look up i'm just taking stick up but camera is goind down and that is so annoying can you help me?
no my controler is fine but i searched everywhere i cant change it. It's messing with my brain i want to look up while move the stick forward but its looking down.
Same.i used to be bait the up a in gears 4 all the time and it would work.in the gears 5 I get chucked before he even hits the cover or they get the chunk and my shot doesn't register.
Great great info here. I get smoked so often on the up A on corners. Also, first video ive seen where someone explains how to dial in A dead zone. Great stuff. QUESTION:Ive got a fast pistol. But my accuracy is bad..any tips on keeping my pistol on target while maintaining speed? How do I keep it from Rise-ing Up? Maybe do a video on tactics for whittling your opponent down..i.e. how you guys deal damage with pistol at range..how to know how much damage has been dealt..how to know how much you need for the kill? And maybe give some tips on how to keep my pistol fast and accurate at range to get an opponent low. Thanks Brutha..Rise-up
Domez I don’t use claw. I’ve just been playing gears since day 1 don’t forget how old gears is😂. Trust me your 700 times better then me. I wish I could play claw
I learned to play claw in UE...funny thing is I didn't even realize the way I played was called claw. I thought that was the only way to wallbounce, but learned most people played thumbs and wallbounced. That completely took me by surprise.
You ain’t lying about the elite 2 controller. My first one rb button didn’t break but it kept double pressing with one click. And that was only a month in. Returned and got my second elite 2 controller off warranty and 3 months later doing the same exact problem. I never had a problem with the first elite controller besides the rubber coming off 2 years but I’m honestly close to getting a scuff because Xbox is letting me down
Great info. The way the cover and other things like aiming are changed in each game are completely for an agenda other than what first made this game unreal and great. Total lack of systematic and rational improvement in regard to third person shooter environment and related multiplayer competition.
Elite controller 100 times better than scuf. And Microsoft will literally replace you're elite controller if you just go to the store and exchange it (the actual Microsoft store, and wal mart will replace them up to years down the road even without receipt as long as you have an id and it still looks new). I've exchanged one without a receipt on 2 separate occasions. They're very good at replacing them if its under a year. Be careful with them and they'll last a long time. And wal mart will 100% replace one even without receipt up to like 6 times per year you're allowed to return something without receipt. There's plenty of ways around controllers breaking without spending another 200. Last controller I bought was years ago and I still get them replaced when they stop working.
I did this one time with my elite controller and when I got it back all my buttons, joy sticks, and the d-pad were gone. I guess I should’ve taken them off the controller but I don’t know if I was supposed to keep all the buttons on the controller or not lol.
I lost my middle finger during gow4 and I was playing tournament and would use my middle finger as my shoot button but I cant anymore. I still think tournament is easier for me now
Your deadzone is a buffer range where the analog input does not work. Thus the name "deadzone" A higher deadzone increases the size of that said zone. If you have drift in your analog stick, changing your deadzones will affect it.
Why im Not faster with Wallbounce when i use RB as bounce Button ? Claw ,you must Press a Button for bounce and the other Finger to move the right Stick . But when you Play with RB Button for bounce , than you have the Same Control Like a claw Player. But why thats Not Work so good ?
Gow pros back in the day played on alternate, and would hybrid claw and regular. 24/7 claw was never really a thing until recently. I don't know how people like scump just play claw. It's painful.
I would love a video how to make reactions while playing thumbs (normal play). Players like vital or Sleeafer play thumbs and Idk how they can reaction shots playing thumbs. How can they move their thumb off the joystick, press A and go back to joystick to make reaction shot. Can you make a video of that?
I don't know any more pro players who play thumbs and still have A as there wall bounce. Maybe their thumb is long which makes them able to put their thumb on the A button and joystick at the same time. Look up Pheno. He used to play like that. I'm sure he still can.
I got introduced to gears when 4 came out so learning how to bounce and reaction with thumbs it just comes naturally with practice. When you press a to up a you use the edge of your thumb to make small adjustments to your aim and it takes practice to master it
I tried playing this game tonight since COD has been a mess lately. Big mistake. I hate this game for a passion. Gears 4 was so much better, or maybe I just suck, probably both. The movement is wayyy clunky for me to ever be good at this game. Super toxic community that will always harass you if are being an underperforming noob.
Every once in awhile, idiots like me who wanna be the hero need to be reminded to slow the fuck down and focus lol thanks for that. Also the tips about tweaking dead zones. But most importantly, that bit about everyone just throwing out the up-a EVERY TIME. I do that! Why?! I barely noticed yesterday before seeing this but if you expect an up-a I swear you can get the kill every time. So dumb lol great tips and vid, man, thank you.
... I'm at 30 on all my sens... lol still feels slow since I started playing 2 days ago. I don't claw either.. I can confirm it's as simple as GOW 3 is way better and 5 is garbage... I'm downloading 4 but will delete if movement is still slow
Domez, would you recommend claw over paddles? I'm still using paddles cause i find it difficult to aim with weapons like the longshot and torque when I try clawing
Just keep playing, after a time you will use that weapons in the same form. I started playing claw in gears 4 and it takes like 2 weeks to recover your whole skill
When someone gets in cover, goes forward out of cover and shoots at the same time as they go out (Up on your left stick while in cover then clicking A or whatever you use to run/cover and shoot... called an Up A)
From wiki: "The Deadzone is a small area around the game controller's thumbstick control that doesn't respond to stick movement. Deadzones are built into games so that old controllers with slightly worn out sticks will not cause movement when the control is sitting still."
Dont buy the elite bro my shit busted within a few days too that controller is so trash my buttons were falling out and shit. My homie got me on claw, that shit hurt for a bit but after a year of running it, it's just natural
@@skitzrone it's all personal preference and how THAT person came up on gears. But me, I just so happen to be taught the claw way. Now, every game I touch i play it with claw and its lowkey beneficial everywhere but never NEEDED so it's on u
My Scuf controller was the biggest waste of money that I have ever spent on something. Just buy a mod pack for $35 if you really want paddles that bad. I personally have owned the original elite controller, a scuf one, and the paddle mod pack and the only one i believe was worth it was the mod pack. My elite controller broke after about 2 years of use and my scuf broke after about 3 months. Now i still have the mod pack however i still find myself playing better and more comfortably on claw or tournament. So i really reccomend to just either try learning to play claw or switch to tournament.
I accidentally joined a pro king of the hill match, I freaked it & was like fuck it just go w it. I figured it was pro because people only used pistols & shottys (well most) dang I was scared
He forgot to add the last tip in the video..which is to throw all this crap out the window because you will do 89% damage & your opponent will do 100% damage at the same range 🤣😂..game is trash..
Wall bouncing killed this game. They actually started rewarding the use of an almost exploitive, unnatural maneover. It just makes it a messy, erratic skid fest. "Slide slide slide slide shot" does not take actual skill, sorry. I get why people do it, but it just ruins the game. In my opinion anyway, each to their own.
