My friends and I always play solo first time, then the group gets together in coop, MP, and horde. We are all happy to see this, and we are going back to finish some GOW 5 coop stuff, it s good times after some time away. Ironic a week ago we started thinking about GOW before the announcement to play again to change things up.
Man this comment hit, I remember playing gears to co-op with my best friend in high school. It is one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had unfortunately, as you get older, you kind of stop interacting with people. Maybe one day I’ll find someone to game with again, I’m so horrible at making friends now
My father got the first Gears of War for me and my brother to play it in 2012, in our old Xbox 360. After that, we played Gears of War 2, 3, Judgment... ...And here we are, over more than a decade later. I showed him the E-Day trailer and i couldn't hold back my tears as i heard the Mad World instrumental when Dom showed up. I was depressed, but seeing that trailer made me think twice. Even in those hard times at adult life, we must cherish the things that made us happy back then. Back at more simple times. Stay strong, my fellow Gears❤
I’m in the exact same spot right now man. I really really needed something like this right now. I watched it and immediately called my lil brother and showed it to my step dad. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve played 1,2,and 3. Brothers to the end!

lets hope this game carries that hopeless feeling. lord knows it needs to. this is E day for god sakes. that's the point. just Imagen the Hammer of Dawn strikes from there prospective. absolutely devastating. more so when they see that it does nothing to stop the hoards.
@@LB-hr9vu Yeah, many people don't really know how massive the hammer strikes were and how it literally changed the planet sara for the worst. Gears Tactics did have the hammer strikes at the beginning but it didn't do it justice. The hammer strikes is like if every country on earth was nuked all at once.
@@VexNovaYT yeah, Gears Tactics did not do it justices from when I gave it ago. the tone was not set right in that game. this needs to have that Gears of war 1 vibes. that's how you do it right and show off the horror of the hammer strikes.
Gears of War is easily in my trio of those games which made my childhood. The others being Halo and Mass Effect. Imo no other piece of media taught me as much and even came close to rival these three in terms of sheer beauty powerfulness. In hard times these were the only ways to escape and spend my time with awesome people, which I hardly knew for the most part. Whether it was the cool as fuck lines of Delta squad, the badass one liners of Johnson or even the well-written and likeable characters of the Normandy, all had an impactful effect on us. Those were far, far more than just games. And it showed with the unforgettable fanbase. Thanks for all those hours spent saving mankind and killin' grubs fellow Gears.
If you told 12 year old me that there were multiple games, books, and other media all leading up to this point, hell I don't know what younger me would say or do. Stay strong Gears!

I really like how it sounds nostalgic. It’s like we, the players, are reminiscing on the past of the series, while simultaneously the characters are only just beginning it. It’s sounds like I’m at a funeral for all the millions that the Locust killed on E-day, and the war thereafter. So excited for this game! ❤
Alot of gears we lost the last couple of years sad to see it its nice to know this game is real I am sure new and old gears fans alike will enjoy the game
It's been so long, since those long wars. My fellow Gears, we're needed once more. Just this time, from the very start! Game is definitely going to be a sadder one. The start of the war was horrific with massive loss of life across the world. I imagine the ending will be setting up the last true bastion of humanity (The city where the locust could not dig through... Can't remember its name), or the firing of the "Hammer Of Dawn" en-mass in an attempt to wipe out the Locust threat. Maybe both.
My fellow Gears, today we stand together, my long lost old brothers, 2006 is far gone now and all we have is the memories of it but today we have a chance to fight again, to stand strong against the emergence of the locust horde, the beginning of the Locust War. I remembered playing gears of war when it first came out. Course i was a wee lad but. To be honest, ive played it since the last one being 5 and i thought "well shit". Then i watched the xbox even and nearly teared up..Fuck, Bird, Tai, Dizzy, Dom, Marcus And Cole. I still remembered how Tai died in 2 and seeing dom coming home in 3. Fuck me, I still remember loading up the old 360 and listening to the main menus of the classics and just reading the amount of collectibles i had gotten and even playing horde mode with a friend who had unfortunately passed before Gears 4 was even teased.
Just want to inform yall that epic had the concept for swarm before gears got handed over. Origin was different, but they had plans to make another gears after 3. In stoked as much as yall, but I think gears 4 & 5 do have a place in the lore
hearing this song in the trailer. it game me hope. hope that where finally getting a better tomorrow. Gears 5 was where I though this amazing franchise will die. but then I see this trailer, and I see dom and hear this music. I am praying that they deliver, that this franchise can make a come back. one last push. if Gears of war is too fall. where better then the day that that changed Sera forever: Emergence Day.
