​@tpower1912 the song is already slow and it is a call back to the OG trailer that played it. A lot of trailers might use similar style, but it is an appropriate call back for this one.

above all, we're back in the locust war era. i wouldn't mind if we were playing as entirely new gears, as long as it's set in the locust war. the swarm are a poor man's locusts. now, let's see how they handle this. it's too early to tell if it will be good based on a cinematic trailer. will they be too reliant on nostalgia, or will they introduce locusts we haven't gibbed before? vehicles? will the semi-open world areas return? will we get the armour/weapon customisation from tactics? will we be able to recruit gears into our squad a la tactics, who can be permanently KIA'd throughout the campaign as we fight to take back the city on e-day? will we have new movement options and melee combat like in this trailer? will they do a new take on multiplayer?

It's not gonna be good, going back to something that was already complete just is never a good idea. I'll still play it, but it just seems more like a standalone dlc type of game than a game that'll stand on its own ​@@billjones642

Almost asked for a 360 over a ps3 for Christmas for that trailer alone (and for dead rising and halo 3 and crackdown). Got the ps3 but still got the 360 a few years later and played these games

JD and Kait were so poorly written. I’m also glad we’re going back with this one. Feels good to have the main characters back again

@deltadog6530 agreed. I want more locust-focused gears rather than the swarm-focused ones. Don't hate gears 4 and 5 but they just don't feel like the original triology (plus Judgement & the dlcs)

@@khornelordofskulls7090 exactly. not many people care for the newer games' storyline/world, we'd rather fight the locusts. this is better than what i was hoping for. that said, haven't seen the game yet so we'll wait and see. would've been nice to get a remastered collection of the 360 games for PC, but a brand new game set in e-day is a dream come true. also, young marcus looks like arthur morgan without his durag and it's jamaican me feel somethin.

Collection still under wraps and gears 6 I'd being worked on but having a prequel for the first game I can't wait old school lancers so it's obviously at a time before chainsaw lancers

great, you haven't missed anything good... I mean in Gears 5 it was cool the part where they go back to the new hope facility but now in complete decay, also fighting the berserker in 5 was waaaaaay more difficult than in the first gears. other than that you're good.
