GEARS TACTICS All Cutscenes Movie HD

Here are my first impressions of the game. So this is my first time playing a turn-based tactics game, and I'm having so much fun only a few hours into the game. Gears Tactics has made me want to play other games like this and upload it on the channel. I've been missing out on this genre for sure. I won't talk much about the story for spoilers reasons, but the game takes twelve years before the first Gears Of War. The main characters we follow are Gabe Diaz (Kait Diaz's father) Sid Redburn and Mikayla Dorn. If you pre-order the game before April 28th, you will receive the Thrashball Cole Character Pack and get to play as Cole Train. As for graphics and performance, well, it runs beautifully and looks amazing. I played on 4K with the options set to ultra, and it still runs great. There is some texture pop-in when you start a new mission, but this gets fixed within a few seconds, so not a huge deal. I am playing on an SSD. The cutscenes in this game look amazing, just like the main Gears series. There are five distinct character classes you can play with - Support, Vanguard, Scout, Sniper, and Heavy. They all have a unique main weapon. There's a bunch of customization you can make for the characters like weapon and armor mods. You get these mods by finding crates in missions and open them once you have completed the mission. Thankfully there are no microtransactions in this game. As a long time Gears fan, I find the cutscenes and the narrative really interesting, I never thought they would branch off to a turn based shooter.

Ukkon actually first appeared in the Rise of RAAM comic book series a few years ago. The Bloodlines novel also expands upon Gabe's backstory as a Pendulum Wars hero. He was actually a Lieutenant Colonel who self-demoted rather than continue to deal with the bureaucracy and hard decisions he had to make as a result. Nearly resigned instead but Hoffman convinced Gabe to find another solution. He died of Rustlung about a decade before Gears 4.

Took me a second but Gabe’s VA is also Charles from Red Dead Redemption 2, and English version of Sekiro. Love that guys voice.

I feel like I need to clear some things up for those complainers out there. This is not Ukkon's first appearance: he was in the Rise of RAAM comic book series. Also, he's a Sire which makes him technically a precursor to the Locust. The Sires are those creatures at the New Hope Research Facility in Gears of War 2 that awaken after you access Niles' message. I think they're in Gears 5 too. They were all mindless beasts except for Ukkon apparently. And for those pointing out his ability to speak normally, his status as a Sire means that Ukkon used to be human. That's why he can speak like a normal person unlike the other Locust. All of this stuff about the Locust origin story has been canon since Gears 5 and heavily implied since Gears 2. Gears 5 really just filled in all of the blanks left by Gears 2.

The country the last part of the game takes place in, Vasgar, is one of only two countries in the Gears world that ever makes a major physical appearance: it's in Gears of War: Anvil Gate, Tactics and Gears 5. Anvil Gate from Gears 3 is on the border of that country and it's also where Delta reunited with Paduk in Gears 5. The other major country is Tyrus where everything else happens.

According to Hoffman in Gears of War: Bloodlines, people reported sightings of Gabe for years after the game and Hoffman kept an eye out for him. He was unaware that Gabe had ultimately died of Rustlung about a decade before Gears of War 4.

Every time Gears of War add more to the story to try and explain the lore, the more questions it raises lol 😂

I want a wave defense mode for this game to where you can have a squad of stranded or COG gear squads and u can build barricades set up sentry positions and MG nests and build sniper towers it's essentially horde except u have about 15 to 20 men holding out in an outpost and gradually building defenses wave after wave, theres also a Raven with a 2 minute cool down and it has to uses, if u wait 3 minutes ut flies to a COG base and brings back 3 gears as Reinforcements or a 35 second strafing run by the side gunner. Please let me know your thoughts!

The story behind Gatka Ridge is this: in the last year of the Pendulum Wars, Gabe was a Lieutenant Colonel stationed on the island of Vectes, incidentally where Prescott relocated humanity to between the events of Gears 2 and 3 before the Lambent threat forced them off of the island. Vectes is one of the few places on the planet that not even the Locust can get to. Anyway, during a mission on the nearby island of Knifespire, they accidentally uncovered a new Imulsion source. Gabe, his Gears and a group of sailors attempted to take the Imulsion from the UIR in the Battle of Gatka Ridge, but were outnumbered and outgunned. Gabe managed to drop a mountain onto the Imulsion source, burying it and he won the battle, but he lost a lot of people. One such person was his and Oscar's adopted brother Wyatt who died blowing up a UIR fleet while following orders Gabe gave him. Afterwards, Prescott, then just the Deputy Chairman, ordered Gabe to excavate the new Imulsion source even though it would cost a lot of lives to do. Gabe refused and considered resigning, but Colonel Hoffman convinced him to find another option. While fixing his broken chair, Gabe came up with the idea of working on fixing things instead and so demoted himself to Sergeant and Motor Pool. He was probably inspired by an earlier conversation with a sailor who had once worked in Psy-Ops and had undergone a similar change after hating his work.

Sid's actually mentioned in one of the Gears 5 collectibles.

This is all anyone cared about when this game was coming out, another decent story in the gears world

Feel like they butched up Prescott’s character. He wasn’t some carefree tyrant, he was a figurehead who told kept telling himself some things must be done no matter how terrible it is.

I think they should do a Locust chapter where you got to play as a Locust and see how the Lambent war started which showed events leading to E-Day. Dlc or full game it’d still be cool to play. Like if you agree

Love the gears of war games everyone I just wish they added this as a dlc campaign like in gears 3 raaams shadow. Those were the good old days of gears ☺️

I would of played this if it was kept it as a normal gears game. The turn base took me out of it. But that's just my opinion. Keep the weapon and armour Customization in the game tho.

Your video saved me time and nerve, and give me opportunity to know the end of story. Thank you! I've played "extended" campaing(with robot) till act 3 chapter 2, and when it's time to repeat 3 stupid-boring "side-missions" again, i gave up. Dumbest "side-missions" implementation: useless, no story, and no way to skip.

Everyone who sees Sid's story: OMG RETCON!!!😱😱😱 Me: no it's not people it's just a more in depth explanation of what happened at New Hope before the move to Mount Kadar. Sid might have some of the facts wrong but that's just his interpretation of them. He was even mentioned in a Gears 5 collectible as having been terminated by Niles himself for trying to blow the whistle. Frankly I thought that meant he was dead before this game.

Does anyone else find it weird that the apocalypse takes place at the start when the hammers wipe out most human civilisation and the gears squad you control seems completely chilled about it after and barely even mention it? It's just like "well the hammers just killed most of humanity and it doesn't even seem to have worked in stopping the locusts, oh well life goes on I guess" I just find it jarring

I gotta tell y’all the truth I don’t really care for the Diaz’s as much as I care for Marcus, Cole, Baird, Clayton, and the other OG’s. This story is still interesting don’t get me wrong but I don’t care about the Diaz characters.

I already played this game for campaign mode.

The thing is that Gabe used to be a Lieutenant Colonel and a hero of the Pendulum Wars. Prescott's bullshit and a growing disillusionment caused him to consider leaving completely but Hoffman convinced him not to go. Instead he demoted himself to Motorpool to keep helping out

The timeline of these games are confusing. When does this game take place? How old were Gabe and Reyna when they met? When is Kait born?

I prefer to just watch the cutscenes. The story was good but gameplay was aweful, the worst I think. Gears wasn't made to be a top view camera franchise in my opinion

I don't blame Gabe for walking away from the war with the locust after what they discovered about New Hope and what Prescott just pulled. The only thing I wish he did was to give us all heads up about New Hope instead of waiting years for Prescott to declassified the file and losing a lot a people in the process.

I like that Gears is branching out I fell like this will be what Halo Wars is to Halo. But god damn do I wish this story was a shooter I've wanted a Gears game set in the early days of the Locust war I know Judgement was that and I really enjoyed that game play but the story felt like a second thought.

Uh, gears of war is a third person shooter, the best one ever. Gears of war is not a turn based shooter.

War from Darksiders got into politics.

This story would have been relevant if the Ukon turned into the Imultion hive mind. At the end of gears 3 the Lambent survived in the Locus bodies, and Ukon used Reyna’s Locus blood to form a new body. Then at gears 4 the story has a real new faction. Then at gears 5 Kait becomes the Locus Queen leading them to kill the Swarm. Then when she would meet the new Ukon instead of Del or Jd dying Lizzie could have sacrificed herself to save them. But instead we got this.

Y'know, the man made locust twist does not make sense, here is why: If they were created during the pendulum wars, that would have given them very little time to make the net of holes in earths entire crust, their technollogy, their huge ass cities, their numbers, their writings, their culture, etc. And besides in GoW2 its stated by the queen that they were there before the humans. GoW 4 and 5 fucked up the timeline

This is my alternative, Love the gears lore but hate this style of game so I can find out what this games story about without playing it.
