Gearshift upgrade for a POLO vivo

I've upgraded my gearshift from the old polo vivo/9n3 style to the new updated style from current generation cars from vw like the Polo 6r or 6c/ Golf 7/ 2018 Tiguan, etc. to bring my car (Frosty) a little bit more up to date.
This upgrade should take you about 10 minutes to complete if you don't run into issues like I have. I hope you like the video and the update it brings to the interior.

Lovely little mods. Including the aircon controll knobs. Always wanted those knobs in my Polo. Dis you get them from Max Motorsport aswell ?

Nice spot buddy. I will be touching on those in a future upload as there is a few important things to note regarding the upgrade. I bought mine second hand from a wrecked polo 6

there is a special tool needed to press that clamp together but i agree, get rid of that clamp and use the hose clamp...

Thank you. The red stitching fits the theme on the inside very well, because there is not a lot of red, the subtle red stitching on the gearshift completes the look very nicely

that is the standard gear boot on my Polo GT 3dr. the geat knob is slightly different, looks like its from the newer Vivo.

You're right, I've also seen them in newer vivo's, but the gear knob is from the polo 6r

Can you use zip ties/cable ties as a clamp to hold the shifter down?

Hey buddy. You can try out Banggood, Autostyle or Reliable store or you can just send Max Motorsport an email to find out whether they’ll be getting them again or if they can assist you in that upgrade

Hey buddy is your gear knob moving or is it sitting stiff and not turning around? Because mine is loose and turns around

Mine was moving too and I tried to see what’s going on there. Turns out you just need to push it down hard to make to go over the “half moon” section on the gear stick. You will see on the inside of your gear knob there is also a spot where the half moon needs to slot into. I hope it makes sense

I have a full xenon upgrade for both my fog lights and headlights. Also upgraded to an Auto headlight switch

Hey, you can go on to Max Motorsport’s website and send them an email. As far as I know they have sent parcels to customers outside South Africa. The auto headlight switch can be ordered through V.A.C-Automotive

The gear knob will fit yes, but the gear boot bracket where it meets the console might not

😂😂 I was waiting for someone to comment on that. I can assure you it’s not nail polish, it’s touch up paint that I got when I got my bumpers fixed so if I get a stone chip then I can fix it. I really need to get new floor mats, mine looks terrible

No, we had to wire them ourselves because my car originally didn’t have fogs when I bought it
