I have some (3/8 inch) OEMTools, Duralast, and (1/2 inch) Bostitch. Locking extensions definitely make working on the car easier.

I need to get another set of locking extensions. I had a set of SK locking extensions. I didn't use them all that often but they came in handy when I needed them.

Proto makes an end that goes on any extention. They lock on with a set screw. I have had set for about a year and I'm very happy with them. Like most people I have tons of extensions laying around so it was easy to make up a new set of locking ones for much less than buying a complete locking extension.

Hello again, GTcam Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I enjoyed watching tonight's video. You make a good point on GW locking collar. Currently, I don't have any locking extensions. You basically made my case for me. Since Koken came out with the Nut Grip Sockets. If I could find suitable extensions I would match them up. And eliminate two problems at once. The first being a dropped nut or bolt. Second thing a lost tool. Neither one is good. I don't know if anyone has done a match up against Koken Nut Grip Sockets? Of course, us aircraft guys need the Sockets in 12-point and SAE. Any suggestions. Again thank you 👌

I'm not a fan of the plastic or aluminum. I got one 3/8 Koken extension to try out. Of course I love it. Knurling is fabulous. Now I "need" more. If a set is going to be expensive I try to buy one to see if I will like it enough to spring for the set. You gotta try Kokens extensions Cam. Come on we know you got deep pockets lol

I've had decent luck with the 3/8 locking from HF. They're also the only ones I've tried, looking to pickup some 1/4 as well.

I've never been much for Gearwrench sockets, extensions, or adapters. A couple of their ratchets might be decent, but I've got some of their sockets, etc, and the quality just isn't there, especially for the price compared to my other brands. I'm currently in the process of slowly replacing the last of their sockets and extentions in my box, which are 1/4-inch with some Koken, but mostly Icon. Tektons got some new locking extensions out with a metal lock ring mechanism that looks ok, even though it's kinda thick. But for sub-$20 for a 3 piece set, it's a good price. I like Icons sockets, extension, and adapter quality. Even their chromed socket stuff is made with chrome-moly steel and hold up extremely well. They've got a small set of wobbles but no locking extentions yet. I'd rather have Koken with the knurling, but they're more than double the price.
