I have my final GED test today..Science. I've neverrr been good at Science but watching your videos I feel like I could actually teach it now lol. My test is in one hour and I'm feeling pretty confident. Thank you thank you soo much 🙂
@@GetSumMath everything in this video was in the test especially 2 nd and 3 brother I was laughing 🤣 the instructor looking at like “ what is he laughing about weirdo💀” lil she kno i saw the whole before coming to the test it was really crazy. You are a legend thank 1000000000000000000000 times 🙏🏾🫶🏾
This channel helped me pass my 3 GED subject’s both practice and official, I love the way he explains make it so easy, I am not even a English native but I can understand super easy and thanks for explains the difficulty words, I passed the practice Language arts and tomorrow I will take the official one but fist I netflixing this channel 😂🎉, keep on keeping on, I just wanna share and recommend 🎉🎉🎉
You are just amazing. Today you have helped me connect the dots. My GED Science test is tomorrow. Watching your videos have made me feel more confident. I wanted to just say thanks.
This video is very helpful, Thank you! I really want to make a academic comeback so I'm studying for the GED but i want to pass with a 175 or higher for college scores! I've watched a lot of science videos and have a idea for everything but is their surprise information in the GED to get a perfect score?
Glad it helps! They could really ask anything, but a lot of it is interpreting information from a paragraph or data display. I have a lot of practice problems on my website if you're looking to see the types of questions that might show up! getsummath.com
Thank you for your superb videos! I teach in a prison and these are perfect! I was wondering if I could purchase from you worksheets (file with test questions that follow your videos)? Thanks again!
Oh wonderful! I’m glad they’ve been helpful for you! I’m working on a website with practice problems, but I can work on printouts as well here and get back to you soon! Feel free to email me to connect: smhobb@gmail.com
Great question! Some things tend to show up more often like: chemical equations, food webs, cladograms, and carrying capacity, for instance. But, most other things you don’t need to know ahead of time and the passage or graph will have the answer 👍🏼
Also these question text sometimes confuse me when I am converting them in math equation like: 6 ounces of nuts for $1.57 they did $1.57:6 and I did “6:1.57” because 6 was first then $1.57 But in next question: $0.99 for 8 pencils They put 0.99:8 but I also did that cause I guessed dollar is on top cuz I guessed dollar is on top For example like: $500 for 55 is 500:55, 250 calories in 15 ounces of soda is 250:15” etc so first number is written first? If so why in previous question like “ 6 ounces of nuts for $1.57” was not written as 6:1.57 but instead written as 1.57:6
Good question! For ratios, it all depends on how they ask the question, not the order that they are given. So if you are given 6 ounces for $1.57, but the question asks, "What is the ratio of cost to ounces?" then you would do money:ounces, or 1.57:6 I hope that helps. Here is a video on ratios to practice more like this! 👍🏼 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ajYEM9Z5iBk.html
“If a machine can produce 16 tin cans in 2 minutes, how long will it take to produce 64 tin cans?” I put: 16:2::x:64 because the “how long” which is variable that came first so I put it on top then 64 but they did 16:2::64:x. And I am genuinely confused how to work on these type of word problems and I am pretty bad at word problems too… so is there is way if possible a good guide for word problem all type of math problems please including ratio, proportion, equations, etc
You have the right setup so far! Those are proportions and here's a video to help with those 👍🏼 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Eb6LRemCLe0.html And here are 2 word problem videos, too! • ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GgERDn_cilM.html • ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x9l5niDPAtY.html
Hey there, good question! Since we have 2 H's and 2 Cl's on the right side, if we write 2HCl, that means we have 2H's and 2Cl's on the left, too. You can think of the number in front telling you how many you have of each thing. Hope that helps some. Good luck on your test this week!
250 divided by 15 is 16.67 but I got 16.66 and saw the hundredth is 7th not 6th but that worries me how should I know that? And how should I know how many digits to put after decimal? What if I put 16.6 only? Will I fail?
Just keep in mind that almost all questions are multiple choice, so they won't have 16.66 and 16.67 as choices, they'll only have one of those 🙂 But when you round, look to the next number to the right. For instance, if you round 16.666 to the nearest hundredth you look at the number at the end of 16.66(6), if it's bigger than 5 (the 6 in parentheses) then it bumps the .66 up 1 to a .67. So 16.67. Hope that makes sense!
@@GetSumMath I’m taking math exam next week . Remember you helped me out in Reddit to watch your videos here. I’m praying 🙏 that Iam going to pass it then I’ll just have math to . Pray for me ❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹thank you so much for your help and support to show us and teach us so we can be as smart and wise as you so we can gain that diploma
Hi I'm using the study guide but I'm stuck on number 3 it's about the cladogram, The answer Is C that say Primates and rabbits do not have vertebrae, But on the graph its it dose show it.
Ah sorry man - you got this! The Kaplan GED Test prep (purple book) is pretty good for practice in each of the main math areas. Or the Yellow Steck Vaughn GED Math one is good too, with more word problems and challenging ones 👍🏼 • Kaplan: www.amazon.com/GED-Test-Prep-Plus-2022-2023/dp/1506277357/ref=asc_df_1506277357/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=532923137255&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13005100672743592798&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9021317&hvtargid=pla-1463315085754&psc=1 • Steck Vaughn: www.abebooks.com/Steck-Vaughn-Mathematical-Reasoning-Test-Preparation-2014/31433408923/bd?ref_=ps_nb_ggl_US_Shopp_Textbook&cm_mmc=ggl-_-US_Shopp_Textbook-_-product_id=COM9780544274242USED-_-keyword=&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6fafBhC1ARIsAIJjL8nlcdK4fh5xmsqKCiOczFc3pK7ouK3zj-Vj3zPl__fGM05gRqNchqMaAme0EALw_wcB
I appreciate it, its frustrating because im trying hard to pass this thing i got 134 the first time 144 the 2nd time and got 139 the 3rd time I'll checked them out thank you
Hi! I am doing Pre GED. Subject Math; Question is if David earns $500 for 55 hours, what is his pay rate in dollars per hour? Answer: 9.09 I did 55 x 9 which is 495 closest I can get to 500. So I put answer 9 but the answer decided to answer the answer in decimal form 9.09. So when to know when I should put decimal answers and when not to? Also subject is chapter 7 Ratio, Proportions, and Percent.
Anytime you see “per” in math, you can divide. So you can do 500 ÷ 55 and that’ll give you 9.09! Then, if they round to the nearest whole number, you can put 9, to the nearest tenth, 9.1, or hundredth 9.09 👍🏼
@@GetSumMath this question didn’t say round to tens or hundreds so any tips when to know? Or they said it but the wording is different? Oh so divid like per means answer in decimal? Unless they say round it to whole?
@@GetSumMath i got 172 for sci and 182 for mathss :) doing social studies and la tmr and SO NERVOUS but thank you so much for your videos they definitely simplify a lot of context which is very useful!
@@GetSumMath I passed my practice test. And this Thursday 8 Feb. I will have my final science. I'm so worried. And your video has been really helpful for me.
