At around 14:12 the question asks about nations but you say history? Can you comment on this please? Should the question have asked about "history" rather than "nations'? I have been really enjoying your lessons. Just wanted to bring this to your attention, unless I missed something! The question is "What does the word nations mean in the passage above"
❤❤❤❤ I passed my social studies test today/ this morning with 148. Thanks a lot. It would have been higher, but working 16 hours and trying to study while at work and before was a struggle, but I passed that that is all that matters. All other tests as well. Your videos are the best. Last month, I passed my science with the help of your videos.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ one left that is Math
I wrote my last exam (RLA) this morning in Cape Town and got a 165 (and it's not even my first language) so finally done with school! Good luck everyone!
I got a 170 score on my RLA bc of watching your videos! I’m getting stuck on my History portion though because it’s a lot more to think about in this section but hopefully after watching your videos a few more times and taking practice quizzes I can have a better understanding.
Congratulations on your 170 on RLA! That's a really high score! I'm hoping social studies goes well for you too. Thank you for watching and good luck! I really appreciate your comment.
you are an excellent teacher with such a calm and pleasant demeanor. I have passed the language arts, and I take the Social Studies test this Fri so anyone reading this please wish me luck. Your language arts video helped me pass without any other practice materials however I now have the Kaplan GED prep plus 2024-2025 book, particularly for the math and these wonderfully helpful videos.
Thank to this and other RU-vid video I pass today Social Studies with a 160 from 142 practice test I'm waiting for my teacher so I can take the real one I'm ready 😂😂💯🙏💪🏿 study and stay focused y'all
I just had my social studies ged test yesterday and I passed! Thank you soo much for your videos, they were very easy to understand and i honestly never minded you repeating something that seemed easy to me, because I know to someone else or other people, it may not seem as easy and we are each learning from a different pace and that’s completely ok. Thank you again, I just need math to go and I definitely will study with your math videos. Thank you and wishing you and your family a warm and cozy holiday
another update, did my RLA last week and passed it. Thanks for all your help Parker. God bless you! Because of you, i was able to pass my first 2 exams, first try!
@@mehreenshah8196 heyyy, i haven't passed all my exams, only my first 2.will be writing my math next month on the 28th. All advice I have to give is practice and watch Parker's videos, make sure to follow all his tips and tricks too! his cross out elimination method has helped me a lot in the exam! :)
@@mehreenshah8196 i didn't use any books, actually. just did practice from ged exam prep sites, watched parker's videos, did a ged ready test and did my lessons.
congratulations! I wish I can pass. I haven't even taken any of the tests yet. If you don't mind can you answer this question? Do you have to write an essay when you take the Social Studies test?
6:14 i understand why you are saying that its an opinion but the way its been going i see it as a fact and an opinion because the sentence has two subjects the "believe" and the context about the cure
Your videos are really helpful, I try taking all 4 subjects and miss them by a few points .I bought a book like you recommended and I went today and took science and social studies and I pass both of them. Next few months I'll go back to work on the maths and language arts . Thanks alot 🙏🙏
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it! Great job persevering and passing science and social studies. good luck with your math and language arts! Thanks for watching.
I took the ss test 2 times. 1st time failed by 10 points. Studied so much and took the test again after 60 days and failed by 2 points. I was so sad. I am going again next week. I'm so nervous because this is my last try for the year. You can only take the test 3 times in a year and if you fail you have to wait 60 days to retake the test. I have been looking for more updated videos so thank you for this
Sorry to hear you've had some setbacks with social studies. I really hope it goes better for you when you go again next week. Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience. Your perseverance will inspire others. Good luck, I'm pulling for you.
I was gonna crying thinking I got the answer wrong after you said it’s common sense but I won’t back and checked that you were wrong so we okay now 🤙🏼 thanks for the vids tho a lot of help fr
@@valsanchez8435 the videos this man post are spot on if that’s your worry. My piece of advice is that the social studies test looks for how you can gather and apply information.
Hi, so at about 6:26 in the video you give an example of a sentence where researchers make a prediction. While I can understand that a prediction is an opinion, doesn't the way the sentence is worded make it a fact? It says, "Researchers believe that we will have a cure for cancer by 2030." While this is a prediction of researchers, it also states that this is the belief of the researchers. Therefore, doesn't it work similarly to the reporting of a belief/opinion that someone else had made, making it a fact? Similarly to how the opinion was introduced in an earlier example by saying, "Parker said?" Please explain.
Hi, thank you for watching. Sorry for the confusion. I understand what you're saying. I may even go back and cut this example out of the video. I probably should have made the sentence say "We will have a cure for cancer by 2030" or something like that. The point I wanted to make is that a prediction is generally considered an opinion on the test.
I had the same issue with the stop sign in Delaware example before that. That is why I went into the comments before completing the video. Saying that a newspaper argues something sounds like a fact to me. Arguing it however seems like an opinion. I'm happy to be wrong, but not being sure is frustrating, since it adds more confusion. -Good comment @keiraengelbrecht6348
So I am new to your videos but in the question what does the word nations mean in the passage above....but you took the word history instead of nation...I was definitely confused 😕
do you have a video where it has the timeline of us history from the colonials till the end date? please anybody that knows a good video that can get to a point or explain the fastest way or most important things of each event.
Hey parker i was wondering why ,B. Territories Lead by the Same Government, was not the corret answer in question two of video 9 of 16 besause if i understand correctly a nation wraped up in a nutshell is pretty much an exact match to answer choice B. How does a study of past events have a correlation to the definition of a nation. I am just alittle confused as to why a was the correct answer and not b. On the GED social studies test is there a portion of the test where you have to write an essay just like Language Arts Writing? I'm trying to take the test in a couple months but am not sure if I have to prepare for that? Using McGraw book to prepare. Thank you.
@@TestPrepChampions thank you. I'm glad to hear that. I don't know why it's written in my McGraw GED that there is. I'm thinking maybe there was an essay portion on the test a couple years ago, or maybe it's different by state. Thanks again.
Just for the sake of fun and giggles would you care if i never got any questions right, Because i have heard you say that you dont care if i get this question or other questions wrong. So, just wondering if you would actually care if my scores were always ZEROS. lol Justin Feltner
P.S Do you know anything about the apptituted test? Beccause once i pass this social studies test with a two week break after passing of course, I will be trying to takel the apptidue test. Any pointers? And if possible can you make a video on how to pass it. Thanks Justin Feltner.
