Proton are not acknowledging or denying anything about the Geely E5, so I think it would be safe to assume that this is the base vehicle on which the eMas is based.
If so, it is great as the E5 was just launched in China a little over a month ago and it garnered more than 10,000 orders within tje forst month.
We already covered the same Geely E5 whilst at AutoMekanika 2024 at Frankfurt Germany about a week ago, and this time we got tp drive it a little on the test track.

We all know it can be done, being driven from China to Malaysia. The questions we have are: (1) How long (days) it took them to drive from China to Malaysia? (2) What was the average speed? (3) Where did they stop to charge and how long did they take to charge to full and drive again for each stop?

This is a BEV - road and tyres are mostly what you hear.

haha imho it's not proton that jacks up the price. it's the gomen's duties and taxes. the more new cars the rakyat buy, the more revenue the gomen earns. and the most ridiculous case is young executives buying new cars on hp financing ... effectively they're borrowing money to pay the duties and taxes ... why ridiculous? because the young execs probably pay very little income tax and yet they borrow money to pay duties and taxes on their new cars 🤣🤣🤣

You might want to watch again and listen. Btw, there is a 1 speed gearbox of sorts in the system - there is a reduction gear already installed - the electric motor cannot drive the wheels on a 1:1 ratio. So what we have is a 1 speed gearbox. FYI there is another EV with a 2-speed gearbox, with obvious benefits.
