Last month we presented to you our new North American Geith warehouse in Atlanta, this month we present our new manufacturing and configuration centre in Sheyenne, North America. In this modern manufacturing facility, we can make a full range of Geith attachments and also, for best in class availability, if the item is not on the shelf in Geith Atlanta, we take a partially finished stock bucket, weld tooth assemblies to customer specification, side cutters and pins shipping the bucket within 2-3 weeks maximum.
We speak to Tim Eggert, factory production manager.
“My impression of the Geith product is that its product that’s very well designed and built and there is a renewed focus on making sure that they can get the product to the customer as fast as possible. We always talk about safety, quality and delivery. Those are our priorities from a factory perspective, it's just a unique product. Right now we have about 700 PCB Buckets ready to go. This is a partially completed bucket. It’s a shell with a fitting on it, as we receive the orders, we customise it and can move these orders through the factory at a very nice pace to get these out as soon as possible. We have been making Geith design Heavy Duty hydraulic thumbs here in Sheyenne also, with the same focus on premium quality, superior materials, best in class Geith design and availability to meet customer requests and expectations.
From a manufacturing perspective, it is great working for Geith, we have a very high standard of quality and expectation of what goes out the door. It’s a good thing to be able to support building the infrastructure of North America. I really enjoy the product, its fun moving heavy pieces of metal through your factory and really provide the work that supports building the country.”
