My wee 5 year old gt grand daughter and I love doing arts together and she was intrigued by your video. This made me get my gel plate and paints out and, boy, did we have fun. Thank you. Loved the music too.

This was so much fun to watch! I love how you just kept taking it to the next level. And that you never cleaned the plate.

Watching you reminds me of watching magic shows when I was a kid 💐 🎉 Also, I really appreciate the encouragement to keep going until I have something I like. I tend to quit when I have an OK print because I’m afraid I’ll “ruin” it. Watching you print over beautiful layers was so helpful!

Cool. Made me think of other things that could be used. Strings with beads or shells, various sizes of rubber bands, bungee cords, shoe/boot laces, ribbon scrap from silk Saris, pulled roving, plant fiber (shredded palm trunk/leaves, wild grasses), etc.

Thank you! This was an awesomely inspiring demo. I plan to use this technique primarily on fabric but will also apply it to handmade papers. I’m wondering, in the case of paper, which would be better to apply after fully drying: A) modge podge or B) resin? I could see affixing sets of the threaded prints to wood and then adding an overlay of one of the two. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks, again!

Do I have to use liquid acrylics? Is there a recommended way to thin-out my heavy body acrylics for my gelli plate?

You don't need liquid acrylics, I'm using both soft body and liquids. Heavy body acrylics don"t spread so easily on the plate so i would not recommend them. You can use a fluid matte medium to make your acrylics more fluid, like Liquitex or DecoArt Matte Medium. Don't use water, that will just break down the pigments.
