very sweet! I saw the glow version in a local Target. I was very tempted 😂 Again, I still haven't made the jump to any gel blasters. I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to get them cheaper in the winter. That's when I'll pull the trigger. (pun intended 🤣)
Honestly, I love everything in this blaster except ONE small thing - the shell. Seriously, consider me crazy, but I don’t like how the muzzle is much thicker than the center of the blaster I get that it’s made to look like a bigger version of the original Surge, but I wish they designed it in a different way I am a pretty aesthetic guy, that’s why if I am not satisfied by the looks of the weapon, I am not likely to buy it… What do you think on that?
I get it for sure! I don’t mind it if I put myself in a fallout video game head space haha, but it’s not maybe the choice I would have made? Easy for me to say :) it’s different and stands out I’ll give it that!
@@maritimefoam yea, this is the only one which has 3 firing modes at the same time and adjustable power, and I agree they must be given credit for that ☝🏼
I still like the magazine fed gel blasters as apposed to the big pod on top. I have the one put out by prime time/dart zone actually have 2 the little Pistol springer single shot which is also really cool for a single shot. Anyway yeah I can't stand the gawdy pod on top...just my preference though other than that pretty cool, BUT HELLA EXPENSIVE!! Like $140 at Target!!! I'm sorry buy I'll take my Dart Zone gel blasters!!
Whoa, that’s expensive, but right now Walmart and other places online show 89 US and 99 US for the one with the glow activator which is decent I think. I also love the pulsar. The springer Dartzone one I have has never fired well, the gel explodes. I keep meaning to mention that to them, it might be defective
What I’m really impressed with is features, I want to see these in more… everything. 3 mode select fire, adjustable power and LED battery level indicator?! Pretty cool.
@@maritimefoam what a lot of people don't know is the spring is fully adjustable in their gel blasters to make them really snappy and more powerful. This makes it easier and it's a selling point for me but the Pulsar Pro spring I believe is in the grip and fully adjustable from the bottom of it. Which is one of the reasons I like that one too.
I picked one of these up today at Walmart. It was on sale for 80 bucks and came with the glow in the dark attachment. Complete steal and it's so powerful!!
It's cool I can't deny that but it's still a gel blaster so I wouldn't be able to buy one for myself I have a dog that already tries to eat my Nerf I don't need her to try and eat the gel
Gel blasters/surge can really take over the Nerf gun market only thing holding them back is they need to make more gel blasters that look like this or toys cuz at a glance people can instantly tell it's a toy and that helps for safety concerns of parents. That's one of the main reasons Nerf gun sale so well
Oh I think they’ll always be room for both. Gel is fun but super inconvenient and not for indoors. I do like more toy shaped gel blasters, Gel Blaster and Nerf and UnlocX had great non-forearm or sci-fi options :)
You could just shine a flash light right up to the hopper to get the glow in the dark balls charged and than shoot if you didn't want to get the activator.
Nice! I gotta try and come play sometime if you do! It can be turned down to the same FPS as the surge, but even 200+ with Gel isn’t that bad, but would make my kids grumpy close range haha
@@maritimefoam We would love that, remember, if you’re ever in our area again, you’re more then welcome at our house! Ya, maybe for myself, I would use it for sure, but for that money, sorry kiddos!
Thanks! I even actually say in my full review coming soon, I’ll always be a Nerf guy, but I’ve grown to appreciate gel and it has a time and place where it’s fun!
Is it normal for the surge to not even work on single shot? Like it will only jam if it’s on single and full auto doesn’t even shoot every one it jams half of them. I returned it
