Wow, lots of artwork was made today. What started as a “let’s do a quick Gelli print” resulted in hours of creative play again!
That’s the point though. I’m all about making time for art, whether it’s for 5 minutes (or in this case, 5 hours!!! Haha) doing something creative daily drastically helps my mood. I also ALWAYS learn something new, even when I’m not sure what it is yet!
The #getmessymay2024 art prompt Day 29 was MONOPRINT. So using my Gelli plate (by @GelliArts ) seemed like the obvious choice. I tried to share a variety of clips in real time tutorial style, as well as sped up through the many print pulls I did.
This video also showcases how to use various scraps from the recycling bin to make new pages for junk journals and collage. It’s wildly addictive, great use of upcycling and I highly recommend!
