That because she is Chinese, and she got well education training with good manner from her parents hahahaha lol 🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😃😃😃👍👍👍🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳♥️♥️♥️🌹🌹🌹
i agree gemma has such eloquence..here are list of other actresses I find quite well spoken too - cate blachett - meryl streep - viola davis - emma watson - tilda swinton - helen mirren - lupita nyong'o - kate winslet - renee zelwegger - priyanka chopra - jodie foster
Every single time I hear Gemma Chan on any interview. I love her voice, her eloquent speech and the way she carries herself. She exudes elegance, class, beauty and a strong mind. She is educated, hardworking and truly an refined, beautiful and elegant woman. We are the same age. From Alberta, Canada. Thank you for this video.
She is definitely the kind of person I wanna grow up to be - well educated, well mannered ,fluency and confident in speaking ,nice and smart character, good sense of humor.Obviously not the kind of typical Hollywood standard beauty, but her elegance and the soft voice, warm smile is what makes her incredibly gorgeous.
You can be like her today. It’s mostly just poise which is practice, self-awareness, being present in your conversations, and finding the gentlest way to say everything.
@@reach2prasanna She was apparently on Graham Norton as well in 2016 but that interview does not seem to be online. I'd love to see how she came off there as GN too is quite welcoming. EDIT: I just noticed that was a podcast.
Did anyone else notice that Gemma is able to articulate her sentences without mindlessly saying ‘like’ constantly? Such a welcome break from how people talk in modern times. Full disclosure: I can’t stand valleyspeak😆
@@huzaifa-682 Saying ‘like’ regularly as a filler word in sentences. Saying ‘I was like...’ instead of verbs of speech such as say/ask/reply. Saying ‘like’ instead of about/roughly when giving a number or just saying ‘like’ for no reason as in ‘I asked like five minutes’ ago. You get the idea😂. So annoying.
as she moaned about "all Asian cast", implying -> "something different than white people" she should've said - Yea we left China just to shit on you white people, whilst living in posh lavish United kingdom but then blame white people for everything.
@@eleanorrobertson3387 Bond should be a white British man. No discrimination intended as I am of colour too. But Bond has this aura that can only be pulled off by someone who hovers around the image of Daniel Craig or Sean Conner's youth years. Someone cool, hunky and incredibly sophisticated, impeccably dressed in great tailored suits.
Jonathan was rude, cutting Gemma off a few times when she was speaking. What was more offending was he assumed that Gemma's grandparents escaped from China. I'm glad Gemma corrected him subtly.
It was during the Cultural Revolution. No one "left" China during that period in a normal fashion or to pursue a career move🙄 Were they "expats" then? 😂 She "subtley corrected" his completely accurate phraseology because she's very smart. You start talking about "escaping China" and the full might of the Wumao army online won't stop at making sure you've been permanently cancelled in China itself, they'll try and ensure all the studios and major brands dump you too. Just look at the absolutely cringeworthy groveling apology video John Cena was forced to do - in his mangled Mandarin no less - when he accidentally committed the unforgivable crime of referring to Taiwan as a country. Gemma is smart- once these ultranationalist shills sink their teeth into you you're done for, especially as a Chinese person with family still living there.
She did this shall psychological thriller then got a bigger role in Humans & now she’s such a sort after actress. From Crazy Rich Asians to Eternals. Gemma Chan’s career is one to FOLLOW.
She voiced Quintessa in one of the recent Transformers films, due to her doing some voice-over work of a documentary about AI I believe. It's beautiful.
True , but the way she's harping on about Asian representation in Hollywood with one of the poshest most privileged British accents ive ever heard while real Asians in North Korea are being tortured for expressing their political views makes her sound out of touch with reality, like what Asians really need in life to be fulfilled is more Hollywood roles in movies.
@@maltesefalcon4221 Asian representation in the media is for Asian immigrants in western countries such as the UK. What is happening in North Korea is out of her hands and in your professional life I'm sure everyone agree it's better to focus on one thing at a time and do that well than to try and focus on too many and get nothing done. For her, as an Asian immigrant in the UK, she is choosing to focus on representation for people who resonate with her in the UK, US etc. And she is doing representation well.
@@7nhlez she's not an immigrant , she was born and raised in London and went to Oxford , one of the most prestigious schools in the West yet she's talking like she was oppressed. Nevermind, I'm not in the mood to be debating you. Have a good day helly, peace .
@@maltesefalcon4221 I don't mean to be arguing, just a conversation! She is a first generation immigrant because her parents came from the UK from China? So she is part of an immigrant family. Immigrants are not just defined by people who have travelled from somewhere else and settled here in their lifetimes. It includes their children who would have been like Gemma born and raised in the UK? And peace to you too 😊
Without doubt she is one of the most beautiful women on this earth. Absolutely loved the film, Crazy Rich Asian's, it has everything you could possibly need in a good, entertaining plot with extra sprinkles on top!
I was so glad she was the main character in Eternals she is such a great actress...I still wonder what happened in the show Humans only saw 2 seasons I think but it was very good.
And for some unknown reasons, Singapore is one of the most progressive country I have ever been to on combining nature ,wildlife with the city landscape.I still remember having Peacock, beautiful white peacock visiting my hotel room's balcony during my stay at Shangri-La's.It was a fun experience as a kid.
I loved this film man all the Asians saw this film. It was weirdest experience ever going to work the next day and no one knew what it was the only movie I have ever watched where no one a) watched it and b) knew what it was totally bizarre but we watched it got to support your fellow Asians right.
Gosh.. Gemma CHan is so glamorous, and beautiful, and all sorts of good stuff... I was staing at her face the whole time and it makes me rethink of myself being gay. I wanna marry her AF
