I'm surprised yall didn't mention Pezzottaite! It was first discovered in pegmatites in Madagascar in 2002. Absolutely beautiful reddish-pink pleochroic gemstone filled with rare earth elements and related to the beryl family
If there is so much diverse wildlife in same place we have diverse gemstone production, don't we have to worry about over mining the area..if the area is destroyed what happens to the diverse wildlife?
A lot of small scale gem miners do what they call Reclamation, a process to transform your dig site back as it was before you were there. Strip mining make me sad as does clear cutting of trees.
Good video until the shameless plug around 4:40. Obviously, a video by mining industry for the mining industry. They want to expand into environmentally sensitive areas. Madagascar is a world treasure and not because of some gem stones to make the rich richer
Amazing, I never knew that the island of Madagascar have so many gemstones even some that are new to hear about.😯💎🌍🏝🌴 It's very interesting on how all the continents help create them.🤔 They're very pretty. Thanks for teaching us about this and good video.👩🏫🌴💎
Wow. She asserts small scale mining and regulations to protect the environment are problems. I think most sane, non-greed-driven people might disagree. And what's oddly missing from this neocolonial capitalist propaganda piece? Actual footage of mining, and how destructive it is if scaled up to larger operations. This truly is a corporate-created marketing piece masquerading as a fun and personable educational video. Disturbing, but a good example of the sociopathic reality of the corporate world.
