Hello sr I use jewel cad software I want to import jcd file in matrix 9 For that i am making a stl file and importing in matrix bt m getting a problm of not getting diamond cutters and many other cuttings that i had done in my jcd file...plz tell me what should i do
hi I was also use jewelcad but now I have shift on matrix if you want jewelcad file in matrix first of all you have tou hide all stones and do all surfaces disboolaon then now all cutter do in one group and hide these too now you have on surfaces without any cutter so select all and export in iges format now and then bring the all cutters from sweephide and these also export in iges format then now you can export all stones in dxf 3d format but but but you have to work all surfaces again in matrix too you have to repair all surfaces and boolain again matrix for making stl file or rendering. it's little time taking work but step by step you get better result. or if you want to export in one attempt then result will not getting better which you want. for one attempt make a slc file from cut in slices and open slc file in magic software and export stl file from magic software and then import in matrix for any confusion you can call me 9636908998 in hindi convertation i am not too good in english
3D Gurjar explained very well.see if this works. you can also Export not in STL but in OBJ or Fbx. STL format is for 3d Print only it Triangulates your mesh from Quads. its not Usable in any other way rather than 3d printing.

After watching that you will learn how to add different materials on your model. you have to try different materials by yourself and see which looks best. there are tons of materials for you to add from 18 Carat to 24 carat gold..Silver..platinum and even Random different colors. you have to experiment yourself in order to find a suitable Material for your Jewelry.Also do also try to change Render styles. Some are slower to progress some are fast. See result for all of that
@@nishatekriwal5754 in order to just change the material of the top of the prong. you need to split that part. use booleansplit command using surface. that will make a seperate Surface. Change the color of it and assign it new material.
