It's because they never had access to such technology. The Germans were the only nation with sophisticated flamethrower technology at the time and they were mostly used on the western front. With Ottoman force engaged in the Middle East, the German did not have resource or material to send or build a flamethrower for Ottoman to use. It wasn't until 1920s that Turkey finally got their hands on them and used it intensively against the Greek and Armenian.

This song was written in memory of Genç Osman,who had helped the Ottoman army reconquer Baghdad.He was only about 16 years old.He also died at the same conquest.

And we have more bounds ghan other nations ( i mean there is we are Turkic nations greeks, if they put down genosis crap armenians, kurds georgians, bulgarians, macedonians, persians, magyarians (hungarian) and maybe italians a little bit. Truly badass. I'm Italian, but back in WW1 I would have stood with Austria, Prussia and of course the Ottomans. Those were the good guys, while us, the frenchies and U.S.A./U.K. were the bad guys without any doubt

For me, Istanbul is a beautiful city and Turkey is my favourite Muslim country. Fun fact I learned… apparently the Turkish army as a form of psychological warfare and just to boost morale has been known to play ottoman marches through loudspeakers in northern Syria… I heard about it in a comment on another ottoman marching song so take what I say with a grain of salt

Dragged through the streets of Istanbul in a filthy shirt for everyone to see. In the cellar of 7 pillar fort he was raped and strangled. His only crime was loving the empire and wanting to change it in order for its survival... This song is about him. I get tears in my eyes every-time i hear it....

To be some context of this song is this: Genc Osman was successor and say that he as, wholesome Ottomans people because he try to reform Ottoman for a good way reasons. But sadly he died after he assasinated or yea dueled by Jannisaries. People of Ottomans especially Anatolia goes MAD because of his death, and people of Ottomans set up the march to beat sh*t out of Jannies who killing and corrupt the Ottoman people. As a result Celali Revolt, and Sipahi revolt exist Jannies are in confuse because they shoot side by side while other regiments or battalions of rebbelion side capture Konstantinnye (Istanbul), the rest of elite also get panic.
