2/3 my way into the 1 st episode I stopped watching because I wasn't feeling it then I saw people saying how much they love it so I forced myself to finish it and was so happy I did.
Just finished the 3rd episode and let me tell you. This show does NOT disappoint one bit. Those son of a guns did it again with another banger of The Boys spin-off.
I adore the boys, but this already has the potential to top any of the 3 seasons of the boys for me. Incredible tension and the characters are all so great. Can't wait til next week.

I feel like Marie is going to find out more about her powers as the show progresses. I'm thinking she'll learn to move the blood inside of other people without it needing to be exposed, which would make her incredibly powerful - imagine being able to rush all the blood out of someones head and have them instantly pass out, or be able to move the blood out of someone's body by force, draining them of it. Definitely hope they let Marie explore and master her power.

Personally I Loath and despise her character her sister's right She is a monster. She claims she wants to be a hero and to be seen as a good person and she does the most toxic selfish narcissistic bitch thing in the universe lying about her involvement she's no better than homelander.

The thing I love the most about this and The Boys is it doesn't just show the downsides to actual humans developing superpowers and how they'd abuse them. It also shows the downsides to the powers themselves. Something few comics or movies or stories bother to cover or explain. Like you can't just have a single superpower. Take Flash, if he were real, the moment he went faster than like Mach1 or 2, especially along the planets surface, air friction would cause him to suffer fatal burns. Nevermind the damage he'd do to everything and everyone around him causing sonic booms as he runs, or the damage to his body from accelerating/stopping that fast or impacting something. He'd actually need a superpower to prevent every single one of those things, so heat resistance, g-force resistance and superstrength at the very least.
Marie is honestly so strong in actual battles. At first she’d need blood from herself but as soon as she kills a person she has a whole body as her expense, and then can keep on growing more and more ammunition. What id say she should do though it a katara technique where she keep a vial of blood on her so she can always start the battle with something instead of harming herself
I mean there's nothing that says she can't eventually control the blood in other people's bodies, puppeting them like Katara or just blowing them up. There is much potential for growth in her powers.
Anyone else notice that Little Cricket’s name (Emma Meyer) is nearly the same actress who plays Enid on Wednesday (Emma Myers)? Both characters are the roommate of the main character, both have short blonde hair, both are more colorful and outgoing than their roommate, and both have dysfunctional relationships with their mothers. Seriously, this cannot be a coincidence.
My hope is they show Marie using her powers to control someone else’s body thru the blood inside! So cool (Also… oddly satisfying watching your reactions to the period blood)

Never seen The Boys. Gen V popped up in my notifications and I decided to watch on a whim Sunday. I really enjoyed it so much that I'll be binging The Boys this weekend.
I was a little hesitant to start up the show at first, but then I saw the reviews and said I’ll pop in the first episode. Safe to say I don’t regret it. I am hooked immediately. The characters, action so far, the vulgarity of everything, twists and turns. This truly already feels like how a spinoff would look for a great show in The Boys.
Damn, they REALLY subvert my expectations lol. I thought Golden Boy would be a big bad like Homelander or the next member of the 7 in season 4, but nah. I really like that they went an entirely different way
I just finished all three episodes, pretty good so far. Only gripe I have is that some of the actors don’t seem to have great chemistry together, mainly Cate and Andre’s actors. Could just be me though, but I still can’t wait for more.
I like Cate and Andre's character I feel they do come across like they love each other as friends but I don't know if this new turn in their relationship is a trauma bond I think they have chemistry were youbget they care about each other bug that chemistry isn't giving romance which is the point

gore is cool but marvel studio's has a image to protect! amazon prime on the other hand doesn't! btw not even daredevil and the punisher netflix marvel series had the extreme amount of gore that was in first three episodes of gen v had! all in all gen v is a great show!

this show is very different from The Boys but yet similar. i think I like this show a tiny bit more than the boys. don't get me wrong the boys is an amazing show, but there is just something different about this show.
